I called to place an order over the phone. Cashier Von told me they donât take orders over the phone and to place it online. I said ok! I placed two orders online. I showed up 20 plus mins after the online order said it would be ready! My friend went in to check on my order under my name cashier Von stated it will be another 10mins! I waited another 20mins. I then went in cashier Von stated they never received my $101.00 order online. And that the online portal wasnât working! Really! Therefore how long did I wait! After showed my confirmation and everything of what I order he wrote it down! I started one order was honey garlic the other Cajun. I then asked for a manger who was not in duty at that time got a refund! Manger Sam showed up within 25mins stating he wanted to help me out by giving me a 15 or 20 percent discount! Some my mother never ate here before I went ahead and proceeded to pay $70 plus some change for my refunded order! When I finally waited an hour for my food. I got home. The orders was switch with the wrong seasoning. Eggs were under cooked potatoes were mushy soggy sausage was still red and unboiled with grease water and water else in the pan! My pan and the other to go plate was an entire mess. I asked manager Sam was my orders correct and fresh he stated yes after all I did wait an hour and nothing was made because they never received my order! Remember that. This was very unprofessional of management to state that Von was a cook and not a cashier! Thatâs not my problem Iâma passing customer and I deserve to get good customer service and fresh food! People do not go to this place. The food was thrown together and I threw it away! I wasted my time and money I will never go back to this unprofessional nasty place! Manger Sam you should be embarrassed at the poor quality of food you threw together to give me! Whoâs training the people and if those cooks were not trained why werenât you there to over see your customer service to make sure people hit what they deserved! People do not go to the establishment! Horrible poor quality and uncooked food and unpleasant unprofessional...
Read moreFinally stopped in to try this little joint. I had heard a few people talk about the location on Antoine, so I was stoked when I found out they had another location. We came in on a Friday night to try a new boiling crab joint aside from our usual spot. Considering it was Friday, we called ahead to see if there was a wait- luckily it was not. Once we arrived we were greeted by the staff at the front counter. Definitely a simple and quaint setup - a no frills spot, but a decent place to come and enjoy some fresh seafood. They had the menus posted, but it took us awhile to decide. I just asked if we could combine a few things because they did offer combos that could include, snow crab, shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. Then you have a choice of Cajun or garlic and lemon butter seasonings. We opted for a lb. of the garlic and lemon butter shrimp, and their snow crab and shrimp combo. Here's the cool part, the shrimp were DE-VEEEINED AAAND PEELED. I know that sounds pretty simple, but I am surprised at many boiling crab places DO - NOT- DO -THIS! So, I always ask. I must say that I was pretty happy and impressed by this concept alone having not even tried the food yet, but I appreciated them fine tuning those small, yet important details. Moving on, the food was great. Well seasoned, nice portions and flavorful. I also appreciated that the corn and potatoes came WITH the meal at no an additional cost. That's so greedy to me when places charge extra for that! It's like requesting gumbo, and the meat is extra. Or asking for a pbj and the restaurant charges for bread. I think you get my drift. Lastly, the service was on point as well. Our server was quite attentive to our needs and patient as we did not realize it was near closing while we we were still eating. An added bonus was the bubbling hand wash they give you at the end. I tried uploading the video, but it wouldn't work. But basically they bring you a glass container filled with water that bubbles so you can clean your hands - a nice added touch. We will definitely return to support this professional yet personable small...
Read moreMy family is definitely a crab legs loving family and this place has THE best weâve ever had. Im talking its phenomenal! The service was great too. I typically donât like to scan a code to look at a menu but the server helped us to decide what we wanted to order. There was literally no wait at lunch on a Saturday which was awesome for us! Parking was adequate too. I think itâs fair to mention that Iâve ordered crab legs in several states when traveling and this is the juiciest, sauciest, most delicious Iâve had and it was cooked to perfection! It wasnât overcooked and hard to crack (bendable) like most places. When I got into the shell there was big pieces of great tasting meat.. Iâve had some at places where it was so overcooked it felt like the meat had disintegrated đ thankfully not this place- they really have it figured out! The corn was good too. The eggsâŚthey tasted precooked so i probably wonât get the eggs here again. Not counting off for that because the crab legs were definitely delicious and above bar! In talking to the staff, the previous owners she said were from New Orleans.. yep, i believe it! I HIGHLY recommend this spot for crab legs. I did end up counting off points for the decor. While the place is clean and they played good music, the decor is dusty crusty dated and just old looking. Very played out! It seems a bit forgotten in this way. My daughter used the bathroom and the paper towel machine thingie fell off the wallâŚ. Hilarious but unfortunate! Whoever the owners are.. you need to step up your game a bit there because atmosphere is definitely important! With such incredible seafood, the ambiance should match! A refreshed look would really take the whole experience to the next level. And the crackers that we were given to help us beach the shells were fine but the scissors looked like theyâd seen better days đ clean but just old and dingy. The cost was on par with other similar seafood spots. Weâll be back!...
