It was my first time going into this Laredo Taco and it was my last time. I went in there for there El Campeon breakfast tacos and the lady at the register kept on charging me the wrong price. I noticed the lady at the register didn't have really good English, but I was able to understand her. First, I told her that I would like Egg, Chorizo, Potato, Bean and Cheese taco but when I looked at the price being almost $5.00 for two of them, I told her that's not the right price. Then I told her I wanted the special, then she told me to go to the gas station line with the receipt (which was outside the door) to go pay for it. Then, I took a picture of the board showing what I wanted which says 2 for $3.00 for the taco's then, she gave me a different receipt for almost $4.00 for the breakfast taco's and then she left. I tossed the receipt back on the counter then I left.
They need to have someone that can operate the register because I am not going to pay extra for something they have advertised on the board. Plus the guy that was in front of me left without any tacos because he got irritated too because she was trying to over...
Read moreLocated inside a Stripes gas station, I stopped by Laredo Taco Company for a quick breakfast and left with mixed feelings.
I ordered two breakfast tacos with potato, egg, and bean on flour tortillas. After waiting in line and ordering, I was directed to a separate line at the gas station counter to pay. It was very inconvenient to wait in two long lines just to get simple breakfast tacos. I was also told they don’t take Apple Pay or tap-to-pay cards, which felt outdated.
After picking up my order, I helped myself to their self-serve salsa bar, which had green salsa, jalapeños, and other toppings. While the options were decent, the setup didn’t seem very clean—especially with a constant flow of people from outside, including some visibly unhygienic individuals who seemed to camp outside asking for money.
The tacos themselves? Pretty underwhelming. The beans were watery and made a mess, and the tortilla was bland. After one taco, I gave the other away to a random guy outside and left.
All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this spot unless you’re truly in a pinch. There are much better tacos to be...
Read moreFirst time at this one Laredo place. Yet love how convenient this taco places are throughout the state, if you can find one. Yet at this location, tortillas were smaller than usual and serving size was less than regular. The rice was under cooked, and even do all 6 plates had chosen rice and DIDN'T ask to be replaced. I came back as we were leaving to make the one lady aware that the rice was half way cooked. YES I KNOW! I explained to her, since as you are eating it, you can chew an feel the grains not cooked. For a better answer she said she had not cooked it, and she could not do anything about it. SORRY, BUT IF RICE IS HALFWAY COOKED. I WILL NOT RISK EATING HALFWAY COOKED...
