Hi I am a Privileged person; a woman of GOD, most importantly an Honorable/Observant business oriented leader. I have been on a Divine Mission, these past few days I have been a customer at LUBY’S. I have witnessed and experienced some very toxic treatment from the staff. Saturday July 12, 2025 a white female walked past me and went inside came out with two large cups of ice water, she looked at me and shrugged her shoulders and said they gave her the cups of ice water she didn’t have to pay anything. I had a large LUBY’S cup I simply wanted to refill it with ice. The same cashier that gave her those cups told me that she’s not supposed to allow me to get ice/water unless I am dining in. I said well the white lady just left out of here with two free cups told me to just ask. She looked down and said she guess go ahead. I STILL went through the line and purchased a side to eat just to spend some money with them. That night I cleaned up the trash that was left outside their front door area before I left. The next day which was Sunday the manager called the police to come out and have everyone move due to some hardheads. I have a whole BULLYING investigation going on with both HPD & HCSO. Here it is Monday night July 14, 2025 I was passing by and thought I’d ask if I could get a cup of ICE, the manager MICHAEL was RUDE as hell with his response. I called Judgment on him. I don’t know what his arrogant attitude was for but it definitely wasn’t called for. I have multiple receipts from purchasing food with them but that won’t be happening anymore. There’s NO need to treat anyone like crap because of what his worldly eyes assume. He doesn’t know how HIGH RANKING I AM. Furthermore who sent me. MOST HIGH SENT ME. It’s a shame how GOOD people get mistreated because of judgmental ignorant people. I say that to say because of the way he treat others he might get to experience the same treatment when his table turn. The LORD is a RIGHTEOUS judge. Vengeance is His. (This just one of the receipts I have, evidence that I did do business with LUBY’S.) He needs to definitely fix his mindset and attitude towards people he DON’T KNOW. He can think whatever he wants about me, I am waiting on a settlement behind people who ACT just like Michael, Mean Spirited and Stupid as Hell....
Read more5 stars since the late 70s if my memory serves me correctly! Grew up close by in Inverness Forest since 1974! We loved Luby’s, Wyatt’s and Piccadilly cafeterias all our lives! We will be forever changed personally when the day comes when we lose our beloved Luby’s at NW Hospital. I could never personally handle the public the way they so gracefully do! When my old, skin n bones Caucasian self walks in 15 minutes before closing for my to-go order, no matter how tired of standing on their feet all day in a hot assembly line.... they are nothing but nice to me! (golden rule for consideration is to not enter an eatery before closing and sitting down to eat or to order something that needs to be cooked at closing time)! Common sense! I plan on re-visiting this location at least 2 to 3 times a week until they are forced to close! I consider the whole crew as family! Worth every penny! My plant shut down & my car is about to shut down but by God I have Luby’s food in my fridge! I’m grateful to God for what I have left & that is a full belly & delighted taste buds! With their (RIP) grandma’s white gravy and my grandpa’s home grown farm fried okra..... I will be forever in your debt & will miss y’all something awful! I’ll be waiting for that TELL ALL Luby’s cookbook on how to replicate their food in the future! So sorry for the lengthy review! I was compelled to get it out there before they close up shop for good! God bless the whole crew at this location! You were and are loved by loads of complete strangers!

Read moreThis FM 1960 Lubys is indequate as part of Lubys cafeterias. 1: serving line apparently NOT interested in listening to patrons orders. They simply could not take a correct order and it was apparent they really didn't care to try! At 5:30 they were simply collecting salary. 2: Food review and quality: gumbo had been heated so long it had boiled down to a salt content that made it impossible to eat. Fried okers was completely cold when served from the line. chicken fried Steak was going to be delivered to the table 5:45. It was finally delivered to my table at 6:10. This unreasonable delay ruined my meal! Terrible preparation and worse follow up! Cashier was distracted and was talking to other staff about personal matters. In addition, she mumbled and was unintelligible. Ordered coffee at the table: it was served cold or at best low level warm. In addition, the men's restroom had human fecal matter in five pools on the floor: Obviously no one had checked the bathroom in a long time because the fecal matter had clearly dried in lumps and the room smelled terrible. Informed the staff and I got the feeling it was "no big deal". I bet the Harris county health department would not see it that way! I will Not be returning to Lubys cafeteria on FM 1960. Perhaps the Manager might retrain staff serving line and especially retrain them in listening skills, review with cook staff the importance of timely serving (not 22 minutes later!) And finally insure clean sanitary restrooms. Is any of this too difficult to do? No one expected Brennan's but they didn't expect Joe's third world...
