Today was the absolute worst experience, I’ve ever experienced from the bakery . I order cakes every year but this year was extremely disappointing. I was heading to the Cinco Ranch location to order a cake and on the phone the employee stated it would be better if I ordered my cake close to the location of desired pick up. Remembering time is of the essence we quickly made it to the next location . Upon arriving we asked if we could make an order for Saturday and was told it would be ok ! We got a response yes! We begin to make our order and she said let me see if the we can get the icing to be that exact color and she came back and said yes we can do it. Then I asked can the drizzle be done that way of the picture shown and she said let me go check. She came back and said I’m sorry but we are no longer accepting orders. Wow , I explained the whole conversation from the beginning to the end of what was said from previous location cinco ranch to park row location and to be told in the middle of the ordering twice that we were able to order then a no I’m sorry. Unfortunately, I have to write this bad review. We bought 8 cupcakes and 3 cookies for my baby girl’s birthday last Friday, August 10, 2018 and the cupcakes were so dry, old and stale tasting that no one ate them and we are HUGE CAKE eaters in this house. Never has any freshly baked anything lasted more than 2 days in this house. I’m quite disgusted that I wasted my money and will be throwing the cupcakes away after this post. I was hoping that someone would eat them. The cookies were consumable but not the greatest I’ve had from this location. We went early midday to get the cupcakes because I understood this location actually bakes everything. I’m so disappointed in the crappy cupcakes and pissed that the very next day I had to buy cupcakes from another bakery off westheimer so we could sing again and everyone could enjoy cake. While I sit here and look at my receipt from ooh la la (40 minutes from my house) I’m angry that my $40 is going in the trash tonight when I finally throw the cupcakes out that I was hoping someone would eat. Used to patron this establishment, quite often pre-pandemic, and it was absolutely fabulous. Post pandemic. Obviously the location that I went to is no longer there. And went to this other locations yesterday. And I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the cupcakes I picked up. I’m not sure if it was because it was the weekend or it was just a slow day or what have you. But the icing tasted more like canned icing and the cupcake was dry. So very disappointed that they weren’t able to uphold the standard of their product. Again, I don’t know if they were just having an off day or what. I will say finding this location was extremely difficult and very small and limited parking. Definitely not a “hey look at me I’m right here” kind of location. But again I get we’re all trying to survive the after affects of the pandemic shut down and everything else. Will I give them another chance later on down...
