I am very sorry that I did not include photos, but I didn't walk into this thinking that I was going to do a review.
I went in for the Monday night hibachi special, planning on getting the steak that so won me over before. The waiter, as waiters do, moved in for the upsell. Rather than go with the recommended trio, which was the most expensive thing on the hibachi menu, I went for the Maine Event, considering it was steak and lobster. What could go wrong?
Everything was wrong with this dish, which was essentially a fried rice dish attempting to be a poke, but with a hibachi theme. The dish was so terribly bad that I actually started to cry because not only had I spent my hard earned money on this monstrosity, but it also did nothing to sate my craving for hibachi. There were only tidbits of steak within that mountain of rice, so little that it would have been more correctly placed under the category of fried rice with steak and lobster. The lobster, however, failed to rescue the dish. What lobster I was able to locate was tough and chewy, with a slightly fishy taste. It was neither fresh nor delicate. There were no hibachi vegetables to speak of, which may have given some fresh respite from the overpowering flavors of the various sauces and crispy onions.
My biggest mistake was assuming that my waiter was simply trying to upsell me as he was trying to steer me away from this dish. I should have taken note of the way he seemed to wince when I ordered it. I would have been happy had I just gone for the steak hibachi. Instead, here I am, feeling like the lead investigator of a crime scene, preparing the case to press charges against the criminals behind this culinary offering that should never have been.
For the love of all that is holy, please only try this dish if your taste buds have ceased to function, perhaps as it would be if you have covid. Otherwise, I recommend only trying this if you are up for an adventure which will be unlikely to end in enjoyment, but which will serve the purpose of winning a dare, or checking off a bucket list.
Aside from this dish, the service is good and I'm a fan of the salad. The sushi is okay. I'm not a fan of the spicy sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls, but it's okay. The service is fine too. The ambiance is amazing.

Read moreIm going back today!! Delish!! UPDATE: Ive had a number of visits now- the first was just me and my oldest daughter - good visits- other visits since then not so great- because I take my two younger children as well and the wait staff didnt tend to us well, extra napkins, having to wait for high chairs- not bringing our check in a timely manner (had to get up and ask for it well after all plates were empty). HOWEVER- we went yesterday 4/29/2019- and our server Vincent B made this trip the BEST. The food was amazing, but VINCENT got the highchair RIGHT AWAY- and brought plenty of napkins, refilled our drinks without having to be asked, checked in with us often, FRIENDLY, and took dishes when empty and brought check right away. I understand the cause of our poor trips were due to young children and the server not understanding the needs of parents with those, but VINCENT far surpassed all expectations. If it was possible I would want him as a server each and every time. I cannot express enough what an impression this made on our experience! The female servers there should take note(because they provided unsatisfying service) ,...
