Let me tell you why I would give 5 stars. 1. The workers sacrifice day and night doing their best to offer the best food and service to all those customers who complain over things that lets be real nothing is perfect. Good luck finding something perfect or workers who are perfect. I've seen they put their efforts on what they're paid to do. You don't see white men or women working in the kitchen. Everyone there are not from United States and they look for a better opportunity to be part of this country that gives opportunities. Whether they speak English or not they always come ready to work. Yes they're human beings and at times is tiring to come doing the same thing over and over again. Of course anyone would get tired coming to work and feel drained but still they come with persistent and committed to give the best service. The $11.00 they earn is not enough. But still they all risk to come every time to work with no medical no dental benefits. The managers are humble except the one lady who scolds the workers and take out her personal energy at home to the work place makes other co workers want to resign and move elsewhere. I understand doing your duty but there are ways to motivate co workers like be humble and know how to talk to them. The workers are not machines nor just a worker they're family and human beings. If the workers can receive a tip and or raise their hourly that would help. Otherwise the work place will be in chaos and performance will go down. Take this in consideration Golden Corral and if you train new workers have a video presentation for new workers on how they need to prepare foods and take notes. That way they gain knowledge and understanding over the basics, but, not providing classes for new employees and learn as they go from other co workers is the reason why alot of issues comes and the ratings in a mix. Give the employees classes over basic hygiene, cook prep and provide them videos in English and/or Spanish. You want better results? You need to change and do better. Treat your team with the tools they need to better their efforts. Instead of putting pressure and lowering their mental health. It will result in losing time and money getting steady workers. Golden Corral is not a baby sitter to customers, meaning if you have kids have proper etiquette and manners. Do not have kids running around is not a play ground. I've observed every time a customer uses the black spoon they make a mess and the workers clean it up of course but then I see reviews over the place is dirty, blah blah, we I mean we customers and staff are to blame. Why? Because we are behaving inhumane to each other we talk harshly to each other that everything is in chaos. Why not be mindful and considerate using the tools to get food on your plate? Sadly not everyone here will agree with me because others don't care nor ever been taught how to pick up food correctly and place em on their plates. 3. The food is fine I've never had any issues with it yet. Keep improving and again take what I said in consideration. To the employees thank you what you do every single day. Your important and appreciated even if no one tells you this you matter. God bless.
Update: have employees wear hair nets even in public schools like child nutrition always and must be in compliance to wear hair nets. Hats are not hair nets. Beard guard also if you don't want future law suits. Other restaurants I've been take...
Read moreToday we went to eat with my family, we arrived approximately 8:20 pm and when we arrived we grabbed the cups for our sodas totally dirty, greasy, and with food remains, it was really disgusting, at that moment we would have left the place, only because we came from Galveston and when we saw the time that this restaurant closes, it says 9 pm, so we decided to stay, we drank in small plastic cups, and they started serving us the food, there was almost nothing, they were closing at 8:30 pm almost no food, they put out leftover food and cold, hard in texture, there weren't even serving utensils, employees of the restaurant, the place says it closes at 9 pm, and at 8:30 pm they serve the worst food, having paid almost 80 dollars, full price, not even free food can be serve to someone like that in the worst way, when my husband went to see if they at least had fruit, the lady in charge of the salads told him that they didn't serve anymore and that there were no serving spoons, then she turned around, leaving him talking alone and she started laughing with her other coworker. They had the music extremely loud like a night club with Latin music bachata, reggaeton, it is a family place to eat and it is not possible that they are so vulgar, so low, the worst, I came home with a stomach ache, the food was terrible, and in addition, my children did not even have desserts, they looked for ice cream, cotton candy, they almost had no desserts, this is a place that has zero customer service, we complain about the attitude of the lady who refused to givemy husband a spoon to serve and they only explained that they hardly serve after 8 pm, and that at the door at the entrance they should have told us something, and the cashier never told us, and when the cashier came in a rude manner he told us but have you eaten right? He was so rude, We tried the food and everything was terrible and we had to leave, although it's true, and we grabbed plates of food but nothing was good to eat, the food was cold, hard, the worst, there is no one who can see this, the owner of the business may not even know about the mediocrity of the place and the zero service, zero quality, terrible,...
Read moreI'm not sure where to start for the review of this location. I have been to other Golden Corral locations before. I had been to this location before as well and the service seemed to be satisfactory. I don't recall how long it had been since I had visited one of these restaurants but apparently the prices went up. With a drink it was about $18 per person. For start off, we found our table and I had a hard time finding one person to assist us with silverware I had to walk across the restaurant to find someone. Secondly, I had to search between the stack of plates for one clean plate. I probably picked up about five dirty plates before I found a clean one. My mother wanted coffee and again I had to go search for someone to provide us with a cup of coffee. When we finally got a cup of coffee, it had a really dark mark of red lipstick on the edge of the coffee cup. The area where the steak is served the man who was cutting the steak had a very unpleasant attitude. Throughout our entire experience dining it was difficult to get anyone to assist us with refills for our drinks as well. I have no complaints about the food, everything seemed to be freshly served and of good taste. Although the people who were assisting us during our dining were somewhat kind and friendly they really just lacked customer service experience. When we arrived the place was quite empty so I would understand if it was full and the waiters were busy assisting other customers but they weren't. There were around 3 other tables with about two to three people on each table. Finally, upon leaving we took a restroom break and the floor in the bathroom was very greasy and unsafe to walk on. Every toilet seat and I don't mean to exaggerate was loose and seemed dirty and every booth had toilet paper sheets on the floor. The maintenance in the restroom was very poor as well. Definitely not a safe place to walk. I don't know that I've seen a worse place than this one with so many issues. It's so disappointing and discouraging to ever consider visiting again. I really would not recommend anyone to visit this place. I believe that the restaurant badly needs a...
