Although I enjoyed my meal, three days later money was taken from my bank account as if my meal wasnât already paid for.I later learned that restaurant staff sometimes tip themselves in addition to what a customer already paid. In this instance, I already tipped $6 in cash to the cook and $40 on my card. They took an additional $111.77 from my account that caused my account to be overdrawn causing great embarrassment on my sonâs birthday. When I called the restaurant I was told that they never double charge customers and what I described never happened before. The blame was put on the bank. My bank said they indeed charged me twice and may have assumed that I wouldnât be able to pay and that resolution couldnât happen until days later because it was pending as the charge was just made days later. I believe that to be racial profiling.I was advised to go back to the restaurant to get my money. I did as instructed and was told that there was nothing they could do because their records show my original charge only and not the second that was processed three days later even though the record was not pulled from the current day(the day that I was charged a second time was not even the day I visited) but from the day I was actually there.I broke down crying because I was not being treated fairly, did what was right and was put in a bad situation on my little boyâs birthday. The manager who originally said this never happens later said that it does happen and gave me cash from her purse. It was not what they took though. My daughter who is a waiter said that often these types of establishments tip themselves and it often goes unnoticed. Very disappointed and will never go there again. If you are Black please be advised they may think that you either canât pay or if you tip too much will assume that they can tip themselves from your account...
Read moreFood was great! It was pretty busy since it was a Saturday but my husband and I went for a late valentines celebration with our daughter. We had great service until the server rushed us and advised they had other people waiting to eat while we were waiting for our daughter to finish eating. We had been there barely over an hour and had only had our food for maybe 30 minutes and our daughter is barely two so she was eating slower due to distractions of the other hibachi stations but she was still actively eating. The table next to us was there longer than we had been and nothing was said because their table was full but because there was only three of us then it seemed they were rushing us to sit another family, but it had barely been an about and OUR DAUGHTER WAS EATING. I waited to talk to a manger but he looked at me then just didnât acknowledge that he realized I was waiting. I get when itâs busy, my husband currently works as a server and I did for many years, but never have a rushed a table after only an hour, especially when I can see they are waiting on their kid to finish their dinner and their kid is actively eating. I would understand if she wasnât eating at all and we were sitting there wasting space but that wasnât the case. We tipped the server extra and honestly it made me tempted to take it back. Just super disrespectful, the food was really good but we wonât be going back because my daughter didnât get to finish her dinner since the manager and multiple others kept staring at us until we got up. AGAIN not even 1 1/2 total of being there and didnât even get our complete meal until 30-40 minutes of...
Read moreLet me start by saying the restaurant is practicing social distancing but...Wife brought me here to celebrate my birthday. Service couldn't have any worse. The server took our drink orders, sushi order and dinner order all together. After bringing the soup and salad, the waiter did not bring either of us plate settings...then the real fun began...he brings my sushi roll only to NOT bring what my wife ordered...we waited over 15 minutes before the server came back to the table just to tell him he didn't bring her food. The Hibachi chef was practically finished cooking. We asked for some melted garlic butter from the chef and he tells who??? Our glorious forgetful waiter, that's who! He says the butter is in the microwave (start timer) 10 minutes later...no butter...chef decided to melt some...hmmm...why didn't he do it in the first place? Dunno...10 minutes later, here comes a little lady with two bowls of cold butter. (Blank stare) ...wife is disgusted by this point and goes to the manager (the cold butter lady) to express her concerns and to have her meal that she didn't eat removed from the bill. The lady argued with my wife and was making excuses for the waiter by saying that he didn't want to be there because they forced him to. (How is that the customers fault that YOUR waiter doesn't want to work?)...she then comes another 10 minutes later to bring a bill that she charged my wife for the soup and salad that she ate...AND came and took the plate of food from in front of her...all that being said...if you want a good experience at a Hibachi...this is NOT the place to...
