Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in The Dalles

I’m not someone who makes reviews but we were very disappointed with the service we were given. We ordered 2 pizzas for a car side pickup and after about 20 min we drove to dominos. We waited another 34 ish min in the car outside dominos waiting for our order with our 2 year old in the car. We chose to do car side because we all have Covid. After waiting the 34 min and realizing the app says the pizza isn’t even in the oven and about 10-12 different people have picked up their pizzas, we decided to go inside. When we got in I politely told them I’m here to pick up a pizza and we were told “we are still working on it” mind you their current average wait at the time was 20 min, and our ticket was furthest to the left possibly suggesting we had the oldest ticket. I then calmly while holding my child that we have been waiting an hour (As that’s the total time since the order “started”). The manager (I assume she was) said “Sorry sir but we’re obviously pretty busy right now, your order will be ready soon.” I then gave her a thumbs up and said “thank you, we’ll be in the car.” Maybe a few seconds after getting in the car the pizza was put in the oven and a few minutes after that the order read finished and the timer that usually pops up when the order is ready to determine if you get a free pizza was immediately turned off as if they gave us the pizza when they hadn’t yet. And another 5 minutes go by before we actually get handed the pizza. A total of around an hour and 10 minutes likely because we chose to get car side instead of regular pickup. I get why they wouldn’t like car side but ALL customers should be treated the same regardless of how they choose to get their pizza and if they mess up like this we should be treated with respect and at least be given the opportunity of getting the free pizza. The pizza it self was fine but they cut it horribly. I shouldn’t have to cut my own pizza at home because you didn’t feel like it or your upset I got car side and had the nerve to ask...

The store has been going down hill fast in the 3 years I have lived here! For one, does anyone have control over the butter or grease? Like literally, all the pizzas and other items are so drenched with butter/grease that eating it will cost you at least, a year off your life! I understand they add a bit to some crust, but if I didn’t order that why is my pizza soaked in it on the bottom? And do not get me started on the delivery drivers or the manager! All are rude, and unable to be accountable for their role in this establishment! No one will pay you a 10$ tip after paying that ridiculously priced delivery fee! So acting out on my door step is just asinine, and a tip is given for good service! I waited an hour and half, when called store the lady said they delivered my order! Then where is it? I get hung up on, and then upon my attitude starting to show its ugly head, I’m told it was delivered to another location (other side of town)! No one called, no one said sorry or offered me my money back! Two hours later from last call, I get my pizza! Burnt, covered in butter/grease and not at all what I wanted! My son was just there. He ordered a pizza and they made it wrong. They made him another one, made it wrong again. My son was facetiming me when the manager came to apologize. My son told him it was ok. He'd take it . He was tired and hungary & didn't want to wait for a third pizza. His order was ready & he left in his car, drove down the street & realized his wallet was gone. He called & spoke to the manager which immediately went to retrieve the wallet. Only thing is that the money was gone!!!! $1,000 to be exact. Nobody else was there so the only guilty one is the one who found it. By the way the girl next door was on break, didn't notice the wallet but also didn't notice anyone else out there. I hope karma bites you in the ass! My son worked hard for his money. So that it could be stolen in 3 minutes!!! That's a perfect way to make your business shine!!! I hope you put it to good use, since my son was working for a vehicle to get to school & back.
