I'm beyond frustrated with Papa John's, as what used to be a reliable pizza option has become a consistent disappointment. My recent experiences have been particularly irritating because I pre-schedule my orders 8+ hours in advance, specifically to avoid any delivery issues. Despite this proactive approach, nearly every single one of these pre-scheduled orders has been significantly late. We're not talking a few minutes; it's often 30 minutes to an hour past the scheduled delivery time. Today, after another absurdly late delivery, I called to find out what was going on. A Papa John's employee informed me that they no longer use in-house delivery drivers (at least at this location, and I suspect it's a company-wide change). Instead, they now rely exclusively on DoorDash for all deliveries. This explains everything! DoorDash, in my experience, is notoriously unreliable, and it seems this extends to pre-scheduled orders as well. Drivers often pick up multiple orders, leading to cold food and ridiculously long wait times, even when you plan ahead. It's clear that Papa John's has sacrificed customer service and timely delivery for, I assume, cost savings. As a loyal customer, I'm incredibly disappointed. I pre-schedule my orders precisely because I expect them to arrive on time. If I wanted DoorDash, I'd order directly from them. I’ve never left a review like this, but my recent experience at this Papa John’s location was so disturbing it needs to be shared to protect other customers.
After placing a pickup order, I arrived just three minutes late—only to receive a phone call from an employee at the store who cussed me out and made threatening remarks over the phone. The tone was aggressive, profane, and completely unprofessional. I was shocked and disturbed.
No customer should ever be subjected to harassment, threats, or verbal abuse—especially not from an employee of a national franchise. Even if I had been 20 minutes late, it would still be completely unacceptable for a staff member to lash out in this way.
This location clearly has serious issues with professionalism, customer service, and staff training. I no longer feel safe patronizing this store and strongly advise others to think twice before doing business here. I have filed a formal complaint with corporate and will be following up with a customer service escalation.
If you value respectful service and basic decency, I suggest choosing another location—or a different pizza...

Pizza was not done, that's fine, I ordered for 8:40. 8:40 rolls around. Pizza's still not done. Pizza, in fact, wasn't even started. They said it would be 10 minutes. 8:50 rolls around. They've just started making the pizza. It'll be another 10 minutes. We were quite ravenous at that point so we stayed in the store and watched them make it. But the two ladies with me were not happy that the lady making our pizza was doing the prep with no gloves. SUPER UNSANITARY! I wasn't too perturbed but when we got home we all felt terrible after eating the pizza and the next day my fiance woke up sick from the pizza. 1) Get your times better. Be honest or don't estimate at all. Nobody like a suger-coated lie. 2) Gloves. This should be a norm for all businesses that serve food. 3) There's this ledge that I noticed above the prep area, a window sill, it has dead flies and all sorts of dust on it. Clean that up.
