The restaurant has the usual Cracker Barrel atmosphere to it, which is a good thing. However, that's the only good thing I can say about this place. We were seated quickly, as it was around 7pm on a Thursday night, so needless to say they weren't very busy. We sat at our table for approximately 5 minutes before our server, Heather, came to our table. She didn't welcome us, didn't tell us her name, or even act happy to be there. She took our drink and dinner orders, and walked off. After 10 minutes I stopped her and asked if we could get our biscuits while we waited on our meals. Unapologetically she said "we aren't allowed to give out biscuits before your meal anymore. They changed the policy on that." That is ridiculous!! Is this Cracker Barrel's way of increasing appetizer sales?? Once we received our meals I immediately noticed that my macaroni and cheese was burnt and dry. I ate my meal anyways, but was a bit disappointed in it. I was far more disappointed in Heather than the food. She didn't come back once to ask us how everything was, or even to refill our drinks. At $3.50 per drink I expect at least one refill. After we finished eating dinner, we sat there for 10 more minutes before we had to ask her for our check. She never thanked us for our business, didn't invite us back, nothing. She wasn't directly rude to us, but she isn't a good server, either. Cracker Barrel needs to step in up. They are close to losing me and my families business. This is the second location that I've received poor service.

🥓🥞🍗Delicious Scratch Kitchen Goodness🍗🥞🥓 I've never been disappointed at this Cracker Barrel. That said, my waitress, Stephanie, provided the best service I've ever had while eating here. She managed multiple tables at once, never missing a single detail, while still engaging each person individually. She was so mindful of my dining experience and cleared the table of each dish as new ones arrived to ensure a seamless meal. 🥞Stuffed Cheesecake Pancake Breakfast - Big enough to split with four people! I was excited that I could order the pancakes as their own menu item versus the entire breakfast with bacon and eggs. It provided a great end-of-meal dessert. It's ultra-fluffy buttermilk pancakes stuffed with creamy cheesecake filling (almost Bavarian cream-like) and topped with strawberries, powdered sugar, and strawberry syrup. The strawberry syrup absolutely makes the flavor soar, so be generous with it! 🥓🍗Cheesy Bacon Homestyle Fried Chicken - My new favorite menu item, I can see myself eating dinner at Cracker Barrel in the future *just* to order this one. Layers of Colby cheese, juicy tomatoes pieces, zesty green onion, and a drizzle of creamy buttermilk ranch. The chicken is crispy-battered but tender, and the bacon deliciously smokey. Every bite filled my mouth with a woodsy, campfire-smoked flavor. Flakey onion crisps add another layer of texture to each bite. Very satisfied with my experience. Expect me again soon!

I really wish this was a good review however it is not. Ordered the sampler platter and asked the waitress if the cornbread muffins we're a little bit sweet she indicated that they were. I ordered country ham and carrots and coleslaw. When my meal came out it was given to another table and the other table indicated that this is not what they ordered and then she tried to bring it over to me. Took the tray into the back and came out with my order unknown to me that the previous table had already had the order on their table and the waitress indicated that they did a whole new set up. So I had my meal and started in with the chicken and dumplings and found only one piece I should say one huge piece dry to the Bone chicken. I went onto the ham steak and it was not only very very salty but also dry to the Bone. The hashbrown casserole appeared as though it were saved from breakfast because the top was completely crushed it over and unedible. Sweet carrots we're about the only edible item on my plate that was edible. The side I had was coleslaw and it was okay but had half a head of lettuce not chopped in with the coleslaw. This was my father's favorite restaurant and I always came and purchased a Cracker Barrel gift card. Don't know that I can go back with confidence. Dang shame.I

EDIT (August 2025): Until about 6 months ago, Cracker Barrel used to be my favorite restaurant. Came here for three reasons:

  1. Good home-cooked meals
  2. Hearty portions
  3. Cozy rustic and country ambiance

In the past 6 months I noticed a decline in both the meal quality, and especially the portion size. When they first introduced their daily specials, like ribs, etc., I welcomed it because it was still delicious home-cooked meal, and they had good portions. They introduced more later on, so I tried a few of them, and to my disappointment, they all cut down on portions. So much so that I had to order a second meal! Also, they stopped giving out the breakfast menu when they seated us, and instead you have to ask for it. And the sides that come with the breakfast is severely cut with only a couple of options. And even if a handful of breakfast items are also in their lunch/dinner menu, you still do not have the all the options listed in their lunch/dinner menu for sides, which is ridilicous. The quality of the steak, has browns, and some vegetables, has gone to garbage. I've tried it several times thinking "may it'll be better this time" because I love(d) the restaurant so much that I gave it plenty of chances. We even tried their location in Viera, and that's not good either, i.e., poor quality meals and smaller portions. After about two months of actively avoiding to visit this location (not easy when this, i.e., any Cracker Barrel, used to be my favorite restaurant for almost a decade), yesterday, we decided to visit once again. Among the same problems listed above, we had hair on both of drinking glasses, and that's a no! I understand needing to introduce new menu to cater to a new crowd or generation, etc., But the thing that made you an exception and special among the rest, and why folks like me and several seniors come to you, is the three reasons I listed above. I understand if the price of the meal goes up, because the economy is different now. But do not skip on quality and portion size! I hope they keep the ambiance, otherwise that'll be strike three. I'm saddened to say that we probably won't be going to any Cracker Barrel because of the above reasons. I guess all good things must come to an end. We had a good run for almost a decade. Like almost every other Cracker Barrel I've been to across the country, this one is good, too. Hard to find that consistency in most food chains. Although breakfast food is my favorite, I'm glad they recently introduced daily specials because their ribs are amazing! Been visiting it for...

Great food and great service. Never had a problem there of any type. Until last night (Jan 23).

There have been so many changes, as restaurants have the right to do, including pricing, but lately, it seems to be changing in the wrong direction. A lot of favorites are now gone (like the original cracker barrel sampler, the contents are now different and the price has gone up) and in its place are what some people call, mid-western cuisine instead of what started it: good old fashion country dining (which is NOT midwestern). The good breading on the chicken fried chicken also changed for the worst (which is what my companion ordered last night).

Time before last night's visit, I got food poisoning immediately after leaving, and last night my companion had it as well.

The portion size seems to have gotten smaller and the prices higher. Like the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese serving portion was a joke. Wasn't spicy at all and had only 2 tenders whereas the image showed 3 or 4. It wasn't that good at all, to quote my companion: "it was a huge disappointment and I will not get it again."

They originally ordered okra but when it came, it was ACTUALLY stale. Not crispy or even warm. Changed it to broccoli and then didn't even get it! So I gave them mine. At least the broccoli was actually warm, somewhat....

My meal last night was actually cold cold when I got to the last piece of chicken. Normally when people say it's cold, it's actually room temp at best, no, this was actually cold cold, no joke. And we were not even there that long like how normally the food will get cold if you're shooting the breeze for more than an hour and a half or so, but no, it was legit COLD or at least on its way to being cold (once we got our food).

The wait time for the food was actually LONGER than the time it took to eat it. They were not even that busy (sort of, like they were not weekend busy).

The service is still excellent as well as the atmosphere, which is why they're still getting 5 stars, as well as the overall rating. The food however, seems to have dropped below the original standard it used to be. A ghost of its former self.

Simply put, if you like smaller portions, not even lukewarm food at best, higher pricing and mid-western style food, this is still the place for you. Normally I hate leaving negative reviews, which is why the 5 stars is where it is (only service and atmosphere), and normally I'll try to be as positive with my reviews, but this time, I'm sorry cracker barrel, but its a 2 star overall for you. I fear we will NOT be back anytime soon. Waste...

I love eating at Cracker Barrel because of the variety and quality of food, even though it is usually pretty noisy...which sound barriers would help resolve that issue. I rarely have any issues eating at Cracker Barrel, and I have made many positives comments in the past. However, when I last ate at the Titusville, FL location, I ordered the vegetable plate, as I have done so many times, but ALL my food was cold...green beans, mac and cheese, and okra...and any time okra gets cold, the coating and "skin" gets really tough. Mine was unedible...so I didn't eat it. When ordering it, I had asked the waitress for Ranch dressing to dip my okra into, however, none came when my meal was delivered. So I asked her for the Ranch dressing at that time...my waitress was the one who delivered my food. She never brought me any. I went ahead and ate the cold mac and cheese and the green beans as I didn't want to wait for another order. At one time, the waitress came by to ask about refills on our drinks, and, again, I asked her for Ranch dressing, even though my okra was stone cold by then and I had no intention of trying to eat it. We waited so long for our bill, that I had to flag her down. I never received my Ranch dressing...and I forgot to mention that the cornbread was served before my meal, and it was also cold...not even warm. It was in the afternoon and was NOT busy, and she had only a few tables to take care of. Please understand that I will continue to eat at Cracker Barrel as I realize this was an exception to the rule, but you asked for a review, and I...
