Grindhrs Coffee & Community — Restaurant in Toledo

I've been coming to this cafe regularly for a few months now, and I can't think of a single thing I don't love! Their drink menu is delicious - I tend to fall back on their flavored mochas, but there hasn't been a beverage here that I didn't love. The atmosphere is impeccable. I love the velvet furniture, the jewel tones, the exposed brick... And the people here are always friendly. The employees and I know each other by name, and they recognize me when I come in for my weekly drink. I notice this is true of a lot of other people that visit the cafe, too. It's a very chill spot, very calm and relaxing, which is exactly what I like when I need a pick-me-up during a stressful work week. Grindhrs is my favorite coffee place in Toledo and the surrounding area. The staff are always kind and helpful. Even on a busy day like today they were still super personable and upbeat. The owners are very kind and down to earth too. They really go out of their way to show their care for the community and their customers. The space is always very clean and is so cozy and inviting. It’s super easy to relax in a comfy couch or get some work done at a high top. The latte art is always such a cute touch and it really shows how much care they put in every cup of coffee. Doesn’t seem to be as inclusive as advertised. It was my first time, and I was only there for a short time. Personally, I received subpar customer service. However, I was most disappointed that shortly after I had arrived, a woman came in to charge her phone for a bit, was absolutely no bother, and was told, “If it was up to me, I wouldn’t care, but the owners are watching, and they don’t want people hanging out here unless they buy something.” I gave her the bottle of water I had just bought and walked out. I understand the reasons for a policy like this; I just don’t agree, especially with how it was enforced. You know the location of your coffee shop. That’s all I will say....
