Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Toledo

I gave this place a couple of months ago a five-star review and gave shout outs to staff members including the hostesses. I meant what I said at the time but unfortunately I removed that reviews so I can write this one. I am furious and I left the restaurant but by God I paid so nobody there could accuse me of looking for a free meal. I didn't even eat a meal. I am so angry that anybody would treat a customer like they are an idiot. You cannot demean customers  of their intelligence which each of us possess.  My waiter is new brand new and its most obvious. I understand that because we all have to start somewhere. I did leave him a $5 tip. Very pleasant guy and I cannot fault him for what he has not been taught. He did not realize that the meal comes with two sides. At what point of training do these people go on the floor. Again no big deal. The big deal is that the steak was ensconced in salt. I took one bite and was ready to spit it out on my mouth. It was like just putting a cup of salt on my tongue. There was no butter with the big potato. I asked another server who walked by if I could see a manager. I told the manager I have given them great review in the past and I love it here but this sirloin is full of salt to which she explained to me that the baked potato is coated in seasoning and the seasoning mixed with the juices of the steak. Does anybody expect me or anybody else to believe that?  The juices are at the bottom of the plate. They cannot magically jump off the potato and land on top of the steak. Why would anybody make such a lame excuse where there is no logical reasoning? She literally came back 10 minutes later after informing the kitchen and then asked me to slide the present steak onto a separate plate so she could take it. Anybody with hospitality courtesy wouldn't  take  the plate  without telling a patron that the correct order would arrive with a fresh potato. I had told her I would like butter for the present potato and I never did get it. I believe she thinks I was trying to get an extra meal at no cost while she took the  salted substance not wanting to abandon the dry potato. I took the kiosk sitting at the table and paid for the bill in full. I just wanted to get out and I apologize to another server I pulled over because I really vented and I feel bad about that. I told the other server the vet manager needs to go. Do not ever demean...

Let me start by saying the wait staff and the food was excellent. The manager was not accommodating. We had a group event on 8/16 and we stopped in to Texas Roadhouse. We tried call weeks in advance for a reservation of course we were told they don't make a reservation that we would have to get on a wait list when we arrived. I tried that but the list was not open at 4pm and when someone finally answered the phone we were on hold for the manager. Before the manager could answer we were pulling into the restaurant. The manager was irritated from the start. Told us he would have to put us in three booths and no guarantee we could be seated together. He asked me to give 3 different numbers for the three booths. I don't know who has three phones. We were notified that they were ready to seat us. We were surprised to be seated in two booths that seats 6 and a small table for 2 on the side of one of the booths. We all was not small and that would not be a comfortable fit. The manager was called and we asked if we could have 3 booths. We were told he couldn't give us a third booth because he had 50 on waiting. I don't know what that had to do with my group. I got the impression that he was not happy to seat us at all. Long story short. DON'T COME WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE YOU WANT BE ACCOMMODATED COMFORTABLE. IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING TO BE STUFFED IN THOSE BOOTHS. DO BETTER FOR YOU CUSTOMERS...

This was my first time at a TRH ever so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, it was fantastic. The rolls lived up to their expectations for sure and my daughter about died for them 😂 Theybwwre out of the 11 oz sirloin so I had to get 16 but it was worth it! I ate the other half today for lunch 😋 Baked potatoes were incredible and huge, fired pickles were delicious and honestly their salad kinda stole the show (their in house ranch is fabulous). I LOVE that you can pick your own steak out of the case, that's incredible. My husband got the fried catfish and it was probably the best we've had at a restaurant. Very clean and cooked perfectly.

Remember this is a steak house so order your steak accordingly. Ordering rare at Applebee's will get you a medium steak but here it would be barely seared and cold in the middle. I love my steaks bloody but cooked through and hot all the way. Medium rare was PERFECT 👌
