This is a very nice bar, however, there is very little consistency when it comes to the quality of the food and the portion sizes. My first order of onion rings was fantastic! There were five or six big, thick, perfectly cooked onion rings... truly the best I've ever had. A week or so later, when I ordered them with my meal again, my entire order consisted of two and half thin, dried out and overcooked onion rings. One really looked more like an "onion horseshoe" before its burnt carcass snapped in two. The salads have the potential to be great, but sometimes they're made with a fresh spring mix, sometimes it's just iceberg lettuce, and other times it's iceberg lettuce with brown edges... each with an inconsistent amount of dressing. And you really can't complain to anyone nowadays because then, somehow, you'd be the one who's wrong. They'd probably call you a "boomer" or a "Karen" if you were to tell them you're unhappy with your brown onion horseshoe. So, going forward, I'll just dine elsewhere. But I will say that if you're looking for a nice place to meet up with someone for a drink in a clean, well-lit and centrally-located pub... then, yes, this would be a great...

My family and I were planning a special event to Honor my father's induction into The Toledo Hockey Hall Fame on Saturday, Jan 26th. Blarney’sPub was recommended so I called in October and spoke to Bill Kline and explained our situation, and even though you don't usually take reservations on Saturdays, especially during Walleye games Bill said he would “ be honored to”. Apparently the night before arrival there was a gas leak in the building and Bill took the time to notify me promising to keep me apprised and followed up personally calling me two times with messages going from it looks promising to the eventual green light.

The food was great, our server was a champ, and the ambiance was first-rate as all sixteen of us enjoyed a most memorable night in Downtown Toledo thanks to Bill, his staff, and Blarney's dedication to hiring obviously the BEST PEOPLE.

My Dad, Barney would have loved being there. The O’Connell Family will be back!

Thank...

We had a difficult time ordering as several of us in our group would try to order a meal from the menu only to have our waitress come back and tell us that they had run out of that menu item already. This happened about three times. Four of us got our meals while one of us was still without our food. When the food for the last person in our group was about to arrive we just asked the waitress to pack it up to go as we had been waiting a long time for the food to be prepared. We got back to our hotel and when she tried to eat her meal we realized that most of the chicken was not actually cooked. We ended up having to get her something else to eat from the hotel. I understand that because we were there later in the evening that not all the options were available to us, however it was still quite frustrating that one person in our group didn't even get to eat with us at the same time and the food that we got for her at the end wasn't...

This was my third time eating at this location and I am finally getting around to writing a review. Before a Mud Hens game we enjoy a cold Smethwick's and dinner. The Patio area is nice during the summer months. Last Friday they had a some what popular band on the patio. The entertainment sounded great but needed to chill so we ate in the bar for the fist time. We have always had GREAT service at this location. The waiter and waitress are quick and very friendly. I think it was the manager who stopped at our table and asked how things were - then brought us a vinegar we needed for the AMAZING fries! My husband tried the Classic Celtic Reuben (Slow cooked corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing on grilled marble rye) that was super fresh and served hot! I always go for the Fish and Chips with slaw - THE BEST in Toledo. Can't wait to visit this spot again soon before a Game.
