Joe's Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Torrington

HORRIBLE experience on Mother’s Day today. My cousin ordered wings about 2 hours ago.. they left them at sometimes house in a different town. The owner of the house in Harwinton got a call from a neighbor over 45 mins ago that there was food sitting outside his house. The kind neighbor dropped the wings off over 45 mins after getting them dropped off at his door and explained that he thought they may be ours. Upon receiving them we picked at them, they were frozen after so long. Some were eaten. When she was on the phone with someone who claimed to be a owner said they will not refund her for their mistake. Said they would not give anything to her until we brought these cold old wings back to the store. My cousin who placed the order, orders from Joes regularly and is the mother to a newborn. The person who claimed to be the owner was fighting with his regular customer who had a newborn on mother day speaking to her the way he did is unbelievably unprofessional. Cannot believe this person has been hired as a manager.

My cousins are on their way to bring the order to the store ahead of receiving anything and I guarantee this horrible human being is giving them the hardest time.

loved Joe's for a long time, there are about 4booths inside tho, but they offer take out of course, and they never ever seem to rush you out if your sitting in there chowing down, or just picking at your food and chatting with a friend. huge variety of flavors for wings, as well as combos that save you a couple bucks. there's a nice variety on the menu. got some younger kids working there and running the place it seems and they don't really seem to care about impeccable customer service the way Joe does. I heard a bunch of F bombs the last time I was in there. I know Joe wouldn't stand for it once, he just doesn't strike me as that type of owner. he has high standards for him and his restaurant and ultimately this place doesn't dissapoint! haven't tasted the pizza in a while.....as far as take out goes, the driver is a great guy, always sweet and the wait isn't horrendous. I've asked random silly questions on the phone that was probably annoying to the person on the other side, abd if I had a menu I wouldn't have asked. but the kid answered all my questions, no attitude at all. Out of town patron, was headed to a Dominoes when as I walked up I looked over and saw the quaint looking Joe’s Pizza & Wings next to it.

Staff was very courteus, promptly took my order, a steak burger, two cans of coke. Fries were included with the $15.99 burger meal.

They came out and asked if I’d like a pickle, normally I don’t, but for some reason I said yes, and I’m glad that I did. Pickle was good enough to mention lol, guessing that it’s a hamburger dill spear, very good, none of the normal over-powering vinegar taste.

Burger was like 1/2 lbs with sliced/shaved steak on top, cheese, roasted or grilled onions and mushrooms, and red peppers. It was delicious.
