I've got to say - service was much better 2 years ago. Servers used to be so attentive and talkative. Went there tonight, small waiting area but whatever - I can get past that. Wait wasn't horrible. Seating quite well. But the server seemed to be having a bad day. She didn't talk to use much. She handed us menus and asked us for a drink. All normal. But then she walked away and didn't come back for a bit. We got our drinks, she put them down and didn't say anything and walked away. We got our appetizer quite quickly, onion rings kind of fell apart, it you could tell it was because they were hot and fresh. Again, server didn't come by and ask how things were, if appetizers were okay, ECT. She looked over but never said anything. I didn't even know her name, she never introduced herself. Never created small talk. We got our food and she finally come over about 5 minutes later and said if things were okay, which surprised me. I asked her for BBQ sauce, which took longer then it should have to get. I was a food runner at another restaurant, so I know how it goes. In the end, she never created small talk, and didn't come back until we finished our food. We gave her a card and cash to pay half cash, half card. She seemed agitated thinking we weren't tipping her. When she came back she looked annoyed, but when we gave her a $10 for tip which we were planning to give after paying, she seemed surprised and said thank you have a good night. As if she wasn't going to wish us a goodnight because she thought we weren't going to tip her. Even though she gave us bad service, I know servers depend on tips so we were always going to tip her. It's just upsetting how she barely paid us any mind, then expected a tip in return. The food was okay, the ribs were a little dry, be bareable after adding sauce. Not sure if I'll come back again, as the food was mid and not the greatest service, but I will say it shouldn't depend on a tip to how you treat people. And if you expect a tip, you should talk to people....
Read moreMy children I were seated and everything was going well. Waiter came to the table and took our drinks and appetizer orders while we figure out what we'll be eating. When I put our orders I had forgotten a to substitute the broccoli. I called him back and told him that I wanted to substitute the broccoli for caw slaw. The young waiter said "I already sent your order to the back but I guess we can change it" all in while huffing a buffing like I was a bother. But because I wasn't sure if the caw slaw was an option, I asked him if I can see the menu real quick. He looked to the side, huffed and rolled his eyes while talking the menu from under his arms then he roughly handed me the menu and aggressively opened the menu while it was still on my hand and fingered pointed to the side dishes like I was a child. I confirmed the caw slaw and he snatched the menu and left. That's when I asked the manager to change our seats. I was no longer going to allow that waiter serve us. While we are waiting to have our seats change my oldest son tells me how he noticed how aggressive the waiter was towards me and my two little ones said "we should have gone to Texas Roadhouse" which made me cry. After we got our table changed we weren't being attended to properly. We had like 3 different waiters/servers come to the table yet there was no utensils, the mozzarellas came out cold and tasted stale, my meal still came with broccoli and no caw slaw. I did ask one of the waitresses about it and the caw slaw never arrived. My son and I had broccoli on our dishes that weren't touched. We ate what we could and I left zero tip!! I wanted to run out of the restaurant as fast as I could. I didn't even order desert. Waiter should be fired and the whole restaurant needs training! And if you ask me I think $85 dollars for that type of service and not getting what I wanted is extremely expensive. I will...
Read moreI came to Applebee’s for the 999 burger and chicken sandwich with a guest. I came in at about 11:00 AM. There was no one to greet you at the door waited for about 15 minutes before someone realized we were standing there and then they said our server was pretty awesome, however, in the kitchen were very sloppy and mediocre my chicken sandwich with cheese, came out with fries and a drink. The cheese was burnt when I say burnt black it was black. They just left the burnt cheese on the chicken sandwich and covered it with a nice fresh piece of cheese Burgers, bacon was rubbery and raw even though we stated we wanted it well done crispy the burger raw in the middle or rare I sent the chicken sandwich back to be redone and after about 20 minutes I canceled it and I just wanted my check to go. They did take the chicken sandwich meal off of the bill however still charged me for the cheese that was burnt that I did not eat all the while, the managers standing in the waiting area or in the dining area, doing absolutely nothing. He could care less that food went back to the kitchen. Didn’t come to the table to apologize. Didn’t come to ask any of the guest how they were doing. This Applebee’s has went downhill in the most recent years across-the-board zero stars.
Someone contacted me offering me coupons for the treatment at the restaurant this day. She stated she was putting them in the mail that day. To this day nothing has arrived, i went in and no one knew what i was talking about. To me this shows lack of accountability and disrespect to the customers concerns. Will not ever return to...
