Benchwarmer's Tavern and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Definitely not going back..went at 6pm on a Thursdays. I saw no happy hour appetizers was told no happy hour rack drinks just tap beer even though website says differently. I ordered a cup of broccoli cheese soup..nothing good to say. Tasted like it came from a can.we ordered 2 burger platters..was asked what type if fries and then charged extra for waffle fries.dont ask what type if charging extra...ordered a chessburger platter and had to pay $2 extra for cheese..both burgers were not cooked properly as we asked (medium and rare-came out well done and medium)..bill came to $68.plus.I ordered 2 vodka on rocks with a cheap vodka..(because again told no happy hour well drinks)..service and waiter was great and very patient but will never go back for cheap food priced as if it wasnt..and no happy hour specials...

I just hosted a party here this past weekend in their dining room area and I am over the moon happy with how everything went. Linda and Jim went over and beyond to make my friends surprise 30th everything and more. When I arrived to set up for the event, EVERYTHING was already taken care of. The tables were set with table clothes, placemats and even 30th birthday napkins! We did a package deal that included open bar (beer, wine and rack liquor) for 3 hours, along with 4 trays of food, coffee and cake! The food was amazing, people wouldn't stop talking about it. The cake was delicious, and the service was perfect. The staff here made the party worry free for us and I am so thankful for the great service that was provided. Review is for the food alone. Tried the wings, mini tacos, and a burger. Wings- def won’t order them again they were extremely fatty and oily not enough actual meat. Mini tacos were like something you’d buy frozen at the grocery store. Really not good at all. Burger was ok nothing special. The regular fries were dry and flavorless, but the waffle fries were much better. The bartenders were attentive and looked like everyone there was having a good time.
