BEWARE!!! NEW OWNER, FOOD NOT GOOD AND WHAT A GROUCH!!! Its been a while since I last visited Renzo's. I remembered this pizzeria having a friendly environment, very welcoming, the owners made delicious cakes, all the food was excellent. Today I walked in for the first time since the start of the pandemic and I noticed unfamiliar faces. I asked if they had a slice of my favorite Napoleon cake, he replied abruptly "I don't sell this, the previous owners left a year ago, you don't know this?" I responded by letting him know that I haven't been going out to eat due to COVID. He responded in a nasty tone "because of COVID?, what COVID?" Needless to say the rest of my experience went down hill quickly. The food was very greasy and my zeppole was very bland event tho I asked for powdered sugar. I wish I could find the previous owners to ask the mother for one of her delicious Napoleon cakes!!! Bottom line...If you prefer extra greasy bad food and like to be verbally abused then this is the place for you...
Read moreI have now been to Renzo’s several times, each time better than the last. I should begin by saying that if you are looking for a fancy, upscale Italian restaurant that could theoretically have you taking out a second mortgage to pay the check, Renzo’s is NOT for you. What Renzo’s DOES do very well is to churn out tasty, authentic Italian dishes in a modest environment at a reasonable and fair price point. The front of the house is a basic, non-descript pizza counter with some very good pizza. But where Renzo’s really excels is with their dinners in their small, but intimate dining room. You really cannot make a bad choice no matter what you end up ordering, but although it is rather a subjective opinion, Renzo’s meat sauce is to die for! In my judgment, they come as close to your Italian grandmother’s homemade sauce as you will find at any Italian restaurant at any price. Additionally, you have to try their amazing stuffed mushrooms as your appetizer; you’ll...
Read moreBest pizza within a 25 mile radius of the restaurant. Sicilian and other specialty pie's are incredibly good. The food on the rest of the menu is fair to good. Nothing to get too excited about but it wont disappoint, the entrees and subs are satisfactory. The best and most remarkable items at Renzos are the desserts. The owners mother makes a variety of desserts every day using authentic Italian recipes from the homeland. Desserts are an absolute necessity if trying to make the best out of your dining experience. I regularly order a Sicilian pie and 2 or 3 desserts to split with my girlfriend. Most of the time there's no leftover desserts no matter how hard we try to control ourselves. Thank you Renzos for your unparalleled quality. You're always our best Italian/pizza take out or delivery option. Not to mention your excellent customer service. Particlar props to Richie, the pizza maker, and the mother's traditional Italian...
