I am from Pennsylvania, a small area, and was recently on a business trip accompanying my husband. We have had bad luck in the past with small diners or buffets, either they were too over priced, they altered our food, or the wait staff was inconsiderate. While, being a picky eater and pregnant with my first child, I came to soon find that many of the fast food corp. Or the diners or the other fancy places to eat were never able to satisfy my craving for food. After a long convincing to my husband, we decided to stop by a Chinese buffet for dinner. I really wanted sushi, and sea food...and this place has an assorted variety of both. Now usually when we walk into a place to eat, people are all about " let's rush to get them seated so they can't decline" but when I walked in to Zhang's, I found that I had enough time to read a menu, decide if I wanted to eat there , and to ask my husband if he thought the prices were reasonable. We ended up there on a Saturday after 3, so the buffet was $14, but the food was worth every penny we had paid. First of all, there was all you can eat snow crab legs. I filled up my plate so high, it would have coated me $14 just for that many to begin with. Then I was able to taste each one of the food if not go up for seconds as well. Some of their items consist of coconut shrimp, baked salmon, general tsos chicken, crab ragoons, lobster rolls, and there was also food for those who enjoy a bit of American...pizza, plenty of fresh fruit and veggies, amazingly good mussles, shrimp ( both raw and cooked) and the best part was the shrimp was completely devained and cleaned and cooked thoroughly... The shrimp that was raw was even clean. Now if you are expecting sushi, (that was a down fall for me).. They had tons of it, but there was barely any California rolls...and like I said I'm picky. The other food was what made up for it. The waitresses were very sweet and welcoming. They kept themselves busy and were persistent on refills...but in a good way. No one rushed us, and we definitely got our fill up of good cuisine. We left satisfied with the price. Usually we would pay that much for only one of us to eat. A heads up lunch buffet Mon- Fri costs $7.99 (adults) 10:30- 3 pm Sat & Sun costs $9.49 10:30- 3pm Dinner: Mon- Thurs 3pm-10pm $11.99 Fri, Sat, & Sunday 3pm- 10pm $13.99 Kids count by age...so the most you will pay for each year is $1.00. ( example if they are 4 yrs you pay $4.00.) And that's only at dinner. Lunch you pay 70¢ - 85¢. The environment is clean, there's a women's, men's, and family restroom. Any one over 65 years old gets 10% off. And the buffet can be carried out if you decide to take some with you. Charged by every pound of food you take. You also get free ice cream and free refills. Soda or coffee is $1.69 ( free refills) Hot tea is $1 ( free refills) And water is free of course. Clean. Good. And anyone can eat here. Don't expect a five star when u enter or a greasy joint like McDonalds.. But if you leave hungry its your own fault. I have never been so happy...
Read moreMan honestly this use to be my favorite place 😢 but yesterday when I went there wasn't hardly no food and i went at a decent time. Litterly hardly no food, food was old, cold, and they were being stingy and didn't want to make more food unless it was gone. They didn't care if it was fresh or not. I was telling them over and over to make this and make that pleaseeee. Then they would do it. There was enough people there that when they did make a small amount the food was already gone by the time I went back to check. I got upset and told them that they still had a whole 30 min and 1 hour to be open and that there was still people here that was eating to bring more food out. I went on about how we gotta pay for this service but there's hardly no food and the lady started yelling in Chinese just cus I was being honest. You Litterly had people standing there looking at the food upset. I was just the person who said something about it. I enjoy eating my food all together in my plate but I had to take whatever was fresh at that moment. How many times i had to stand up to get 1 thing at a time. And then wait for something else 🤦♀️ I was js overall not satisfied. I felt like they were rushing and Litterly it was no we're near time to close. I had my kid with my and my disability mom that walks very slow so imagen how long it took me to even get food. And when I paid I told them my experience he only said sorry about that I still ended up paying $50 that was bot even worth paying for. I shouldn't had paid honestly but I was js so upset I didn't want to argue anymore about this. They need to do better to our customers cus I'm sure this is not the first time it's happen. Imagen earing old food that's been sitting...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at a Chinese restaurant in Cheektowaga. As I am new to the area and have only visited a few times, I decided to try this establishment with my wife and our two-year-old child. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing, unlike any I have encountered in other restaurants across the United States. While the food quality was average, the service left much to be desired. The staff exhibited a poor attitude, and I am uncertain as to the reasons behind their behavior. I felt compelled to write a review in hopes of bringing this issue to the management's attention. After finishing our meal, a staff member approached us to request payment. I complied and handed over my card. However, after processing the payment, she insisted that I write a tip on the receipt. I typically prefer to tip in cash, usually between 20 to 30 percent, depending on the service received. I was also taken aback by the fact that they charged for my two-year-old child, which I found surprising. The request for a tip felt unprofessional, as it is typically an optional gesture. The staff member raised her voice and then walked away, which was quite off-putting. I strongly recommend that management address this situation and provide training for their employees, as it would undoubtedly benefit the business. As a new customer, I am unlikely to return to this restaurant...
