OMG. So fiancƩ and I decided to stop for dessert for date night and I don't think we've been so underwhelmed in our entire lives. Yes the place looks cool, that is the 1 star. Our servers looked like they would rather be getting a root canal without anesthesia. Like anywhere other than there would have been favorable. It took a considerably longer time than one would think for someone to greet us, with luke warm water and no smile. Which only solidified our previous thoughts that no one in their right mind wanted to actually be there let along work there. The prices were freaking outrageous. It was $20 bucks for a waffle and a scoop of ice-cream! The waffle was as plain as plain can be and the vanilla ice cream literally tasted like frozen milk. For some place that claims to have small batch home made ice cream you might want to check in with your "chef" to see if they understand what flavour actually is. We could have gone to Wegmans, spent 4 bucks on eggo waffles, 5 bucks on a half gallon of ice cream and 5 bucks on a pack of oreos and had the same dessert for a week. The owner should be ashamed of themselves for a number of reasons. Firstly, the cost of their "experience". I would have rather gotten a colonoscopy. Second, was their staff. They looked like a bunch of dolls with the gleam of life stolen out of their eyes. And Third, their product. There was absolutely nothing that set them aside from anyone else on the planet.
We tried it and will never be back again. That alone might be no big deal, but I will spend the rest of my waking hours telling people to just go to Dairy Queen if they want dessert.
I have picture to prove my shock and dismay, but I am embarrassed that I made such a facial expression towards someone's "hard work"
Do everyone a favor and just shut down and give your staff 3 months severance pay. Hopefully someone else can move...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIād like to start by saying that White Rabbit is definitely an experience. And I was sorely disappointed when I was reading reviews and comments bashing on the business model of this establishment (which Iāll get to later). White Rabbit has done three things right; presentation, taste, and atmosphere. Their customer service was top notch; our server was really kind and attentive even going so far as finding the right place to seat us because we had a baby with us. This was my second time in white rabbit and you canāt find another place that can even compete with the quality and presentation of their dishes. I mean look at the picture! Buffalo definitely has some great local ice cream spots where you can enjoy refreshing, cheap, and delicious ice cream outside soaking the sun. This isnāt one of those places and itās not a bad thing. White rabbit presents itself as a unique experience, a culmination of creativeness and taste. The establishment closes late and even in the winter I can find myself enjoying their menu. Their crepe and Belgium waffle dishes provides a warm and grounded welcome contrast to their smooth and creamy ice cream selection. This is a perfect place to bring a date, indulge after a long day of work, or even to enjoy a well presented dessert thatās also delicious. You canāt find a place close to what white rabbit provides and I can justify its price because of it, Which I believe where a lot of negative reviews stem from. In conclusion, itās a well worth experience that I see myself enjoying year round. Definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday while out with my daughters I thought it would be a great pre Mother's day treat to take them to The White Rabbit on Walden Avenue in Buffalo, NY. I entered the restaurant before my daughters, but no one acknowledged me. When all my party had arrived to the restaurant it took about 4 minutes for someone to come seat us. There were only about 2 tables being taken care of when we arrived & they looked to be finishing up. We were seated & our waitress stated that she would be with us in just a minute. As we looked over the menu the time continued to pass. After about 10 minutes of us waiting we asked who would be serving us as we were ready to order. Our waitress stated that she was setting up the tables & would be with us when she was done. Now mind you, it had already been 10 minutes of no one even coming to the table to acknowledge us & there had been another waitress standing in the back doing nothing. We decided to leave due to the poor customer service. Upon leaving we saw that we were the only table in the entire restaurant!! I requested to speak with the manager, but that didn't do any good! He was unprofessional & didn't try to resolve the situation. He continuously tried to undermine my complaints!! This was going to be $200.00 tab that they missed out on!! This experience has changed my entire outlook on...
