To Whom This May Concern / Chris Holmes,
I recently visited your North Syracuse location on 3/26/19, Tuesday night. I must say, the service was terrible and when your servers asked questions, they just did not listen.
When we entered the door, we were greeted by a gentleman. We asked for a “Table” for 4. He proceeded to show us to at “Booth”. Again, I reminded him we wanted a table.
Then a young lady came over to help us. She did not give us any menus, but she did ask us what we would like to drink. I asked if you still had flavored Ice Tea, raspberry specifically. She thought about it and said she thought you had. I said that I would check the menu to verify. She then proceeded to ask me, what I wanted to drink. Really? Raspberry Ice Tea, please.
Our drinks and appetizers came within a reasonable amount of time and then nothing! I understand when a restaurant is busy, I expect to have to wait, maybe longer than wanted. My friends and I remarked on how dead it was in the restaurant that night? There were maybe 25 – 30 people in the restaurant. We waited for 40 minutes before our entrees were served.
My friend, Tina, found a hair in her Apple Fritter. I asked for a Classic burger, medium, with bacon, no cheese or mayonnaise. It came with the mayo, on the side, with cheese, well done and my fries were lukewarm. I did not eat the fries and I only ate a quarter of the burger and left the rest. Anne Marie’s Beef Taco was okay, but her fries were lukewarm. Brenda’s 3 cheese penne was okay, but was lukewarm.
We mentioned our concerns to our server. She apologized and gave us some excuse. We were NOT looking for a discount or any money back, we just wanted someone to know.
When it came time to get our bill, she asked if we want separated checks or 1. We said 1. Of course, she came back with 4 separate check. We have her go back and just get 1 check, please see the attached.
The manager, maybe you, took $15 off the bill. Again, we were not looking for any discount or money back. We just thought you should know. With good Customer Service, I thought the Manager, would have at least come to our table to speak to us? Nothing.
With all of this being said, I will NOT return to your restaurant. Your staff clearly does not listen, your service is subpar, the food I had was not good and your Customer Service as a whole is clearly lacking from the Manager down the staff.
Honest to God, the email address on our Applebee’s receipt is not even correct. I had to look at your reviews to find what I think is going to work, maybe?

I got the mozzarella sticks and the wonton tacos,she got the cheeto wings and wonton tacos as well. Maybe our food came out at the same time because of the wings,but we were never given an option on if we wanted to eat the wonton tacos first together and then the wings and my mozzarella sticks. So we sat there for a while(longer than normal)before all of our food came out. The waitress could tell I was getting agitated and told me our food would be out soon,but I just don't understand why it had to take so long. There was a table seated way after us, waiter came over, they ordered drinks(beer) it came out. They ordered appetizers and that came out at a good time frame. (Their appetizers came out after ours by the way)That was not the case with us.This is the second time I have been here and I gave it a second go but I will not be back. The first time the server was super slow and it wasn't that busy. Tables were given their food before us and I thought maybe mine was taking longer for some reason so I let it go. So anyway this experience We were going to get dessert but I paid cash and left. Waitress will know exactly who I am and what happened. She did nothing wrong except maybe see what is going on with the food and if the wings take longer, maybe bring out the wonton tacos together first so we could have eaten the first appetizer instead of having it ALL brought out at once, or ask us of we want to eat_____ appetizer first. Also maybe clean the dead fly on the window before sitting anyone down near that window. Not very appealing to look at before eating.* I don't need a response from the owner for more details of my experience- I already gave you all the info. I don't want to use the basic Karen response of I won't be back but I won't and if anyone has the same experiences as I did,they won't be back either with other options to eat all around especially spending over 50...
Read more4 of us went for dinner on Thursday night March 2 around 8pm. The service was the worst I ever had. The hostess was not friendly. The server did not know the food. The meal came out 45 min later. Three of us ordered the steak one order salmon. One steak was suppose to be med rare which was well done. The other two were suppose to be med. Which were also well done all three were dry looked like a hockey puck. Sent them back they left the guest to eat her salmon alone. The steaks took about 15 min.for recook. Then two steaks were fine the third was rare could only eat the out side. Mean time the guest with the salmon ate her food alone if she didn't her dinner would have been cold. Then she sat there while the rest of us ate. After the complaint the Manager took off the steaks and gave us a cert. But then they rushed us to pay the remaining 48.00. The Manager then stood over at the bar joking and laughing with staff. Had ask for refills on our drink finally got them as we were getting ready to leave. The worst service and attitude I have ever experienced. This was the Applebee's in North Syracuse Ny on rt 11. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Will never returned. It was at least 3 years since I was at applebees to eat and was a experience I would not want anyone to have. If I could I would give it "0" stars .......Update it is now 4 months later I am at Applebee's in Clay on rt 31. The food and service is great here. So for a short drive it is well worth it.
