Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Erwin

Today we went for the all-you-can-eat $15.99. our server had red hair and she was very short with us when we complained about the sticky table to begin with. After that we ordered riblets for our first course of the all you can eat. They came out burnt. Then my refill after I took about a half an hour to try to eat the burnt riblets I chose chicken tenders. When they came out there was a hair on it in breaded chicken part. I asked our short tempered waitress to get the manager of what she did. When the manager came over I showed him the hair that was baked into the chicken tenders or fried. He offered a dessert or anything I wanted but I already lost my appetite. As I was talking to him the air conditioner dripped onto my hand and into my drink. We were sitting in the first booth all the way over to the left when you walked in. Needless to say a $50 lunch ended up being not good. I don't think we will ever go back to this Applebee's. The manager was nice enough to take off my lunch which was $15.99 but failed to take off the drink which the air conditioner dripped into right before his eyes. And to top it off I have black pieces of charcoal from the riblet stuck in my teeth all day well half of the day and I didn't...

I have come to this Applebee’s for years and while I have never been too impressed with the food, the service is usually pretty good and it made for a decent place to grab a quick meal. My last visit was 9/9/19 and I ran into a problem. The waitress was very good and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time but when my burger came out I found a large spring cooked into the meat. I believe that it may have been from one of the clips they use on the top of the grill to hold order slips. I understand that it was most likely a mistake and choose not to make a scene out of it. When I informed the waitress she apologized, took the food away and had another burger on the table with in 10 minutes. Thankfully this one did not have any foreign objects in. The manager came to the table and told me that he would take care of the check. What upset me with the experience is that when he comped the meal he tried to stick me with a $3.50 soda charge. While I understand that there was nothing wrong with the drink I feel that I had handled the situation much better than most people would and how cheap are you to leave a soda on the bill! I tipped the waitress well but will not be coming back to this...

I usually don’t leave reviews but this was absolutely unacceptable, yes it was a busy weekend and they just had a big rush but restaurants, especially those who have been around for quite some time should be prepared for, the food was inedible! They should have done a late night menu or sorry we just got slammed, we only have boneless wings or burgers because they couldn’t handle our small 3 top order that was right off the regular menu (that a; should be able to make in their sleep because it’s just 4 different combinations of the same ingredients or b; have it all pre-set to go because it’s one of the main menu items! And please, no more excuses that you’re understaffed or no one wants to work anymore and/or especially no more Covid as an excuse but whoever is in charge needs to reboot, re-train and power wash that kitchen! Learn how to cook and get real. The meal was almost a direct “screw you” and it will be a very long time before we go back to that Applebee’s or any for that fact!
