Sal's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

Ok first & foremost I’m not the kind of person to ever give any place a bad review online. I will simply never go back to that place & that’s that. However; that all changed after visiting this place & seeing what I saw!!!!!!

Do not order from here unless you want diarrhea!!!!!! I ordered food for pick up from here several times & each time after eating, I would end up with a stomach ache then diarrhea. I thought it might have been a mixture of pizza with something else I ate, until the very last time I went inside to pick up the food I had ordered. While standing there waiting for my order I noticed something.

NOT ONE EMPLOYEE WAS WEARING GLOVES WHILE HANDLING FOOD!!!!!!

The cashier handled the money I gave her for my food as well as the money the customers after me gave her & handled their food without washing her hands in between or putting on gloves to handle their food. As I stood in shock I was hopeful that wasn’t common practice. Brushing it off I took my order & left. Remembering what I had just witnessed when I opened up the pizza box, I was reluctant to eat my food. Going against my better judgment I ate the food I had ordered & already paid for. Sure enough, the same stomach ache I had gotten prior came back, as well as the diarrhea.

It’s not just the money she handled, she touched the register, the telephone & several other surfaces prior to handling the food. The scary part is….IT WASN’T ONLY HER WHO DID THIS!!!!! I watched every employee present behind the counter (five total) touch several surfaces & objects with their BARE HANDS & then HANDLE FOOD WITHOUT WASHING THEIR HANDS OR PUTTING ON GLOVES PRIOR TO HANDLING FOOD. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE...

This use to be a good restaurant until they started getting greedy. I called and placed an order of buffalo wings, a medium pepperoni roll (which they charged under the guise of a calzone) a chicken parmesan dinner, and a 20oz cream soda. Charged me $61.00 for three items and the price was high because they charged me for a calzone when I asked for a pepperoni roll. If they did not make pepperoni rolls they should state that. Not charge unsuspecting people for items they did not ask for. I'm infuriated because I've frequented this establishment for years! They lost a household today for being greedy for money. I'm highly disappointed. Never in my life have I ever paid $15.00 for a pepperoni roll. Shameful. Then the excuse was "it can feed a few people" meanwhile who are they to dictate how many people I will feed? If you did not make pepperoni rolls they should tell people that. If you have money to give away, do come to this establishment. If you're smart, save your money and avoid. Crooked business. And don't blame the kids that work there, they're clearly trained by some adult that finds this type of business dealing acceptable.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The white pizza was AWFUL. Very flavorless. You would think that the basil would add that extra kick as it should but it didn’t. I told our server, Suzie I think her name was, that it was bad so she tried to accommodate with bringing us another pizza but had attitude after I told her it was t good. We thought we couldn’t go wrong with just a plain cheese pizza. Well… WRONG AGAIN! It was just as awful. Crust was like cardboard. I’ve had better frozen pizza than this place. We didn’t eat either of the pizzas that we got and when she brought the check out, I asked why the pizza was still in there. She said with attitude, she is not going to take it off. The owner then came out, I thought nice at first, and asked what was wrong with the pizza. I told him and he then proceeded to YELL AT ME and tell me that he didn’t care and I was going to pay for my pizza. All staff that was there was completely unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate. I don’t know they are still in business. I will NEVER go back to this place. Complete...
