Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

Today I went to the salsa Fresca in fishkill with my family. I was really looking forward to this meal out, because I hadn’t been out in a while. Despite this, I was not satisfied with the service or food. For starters, my mom wanted some veggies in her bowl, and they didn’t have any already prepared. So we had to wait for them to cook some up. We were waiting about 10-15 min. When she asked for the guacamole, she was told that if she wanted it, that she would have to pay an extra fee. When I ordered, I was planning to order hardshell tacos. I was told they didn’t have any. Again, very unprepared and unprofessional.Instead, I decided to get a taco bowl. The food itself wasn’t as good as I had experienced previously at other salsa frescas. I’m pretty sure that the salsa Fresca in this location just recently opened, and they have a lot to learn. So the food is ok but they barely give you any food. The give plenty of rice which probably cost them 50 cents and they give very small amounts of protein such as chicken or steak etc. I initially thought that maybe the worker just skimped on the portion size but after going for a second time and a different worker I received the same tiny portion. The portions were so small that they were the equivalent of maybe two table spoons at best. I’m using Chipotle as a comparison because I go there regularly and they give about triple of what Salsa Fresca gives. The food is great , but they have become skimpy with the portions of food they give and it’s not just in fishkill it’s in newburgh too, i don’t feel like they should be charging a whole lot and im going to be walking out with barely any food, the first time and second time i came here i had an amazing experience and ever since i have been wanting to come back so i went to the one in newburgh around when it first opened and then to only find out they were skimpy with there portions, so i came back over the bridge today to only get the same experience as i did when ordering in newburgh, it saddens me to say i don’t think i will be...
