My wife and I have not dined here for well over 10 years because the last time we did, the service was extremely subpar, the delivery of the food was extremely delayed (like an hour after we ordered), the food tasted like it was cooked a day or two earlier then Frozen and then reheated. We stayed far away from this place as possible. For some reason, we decide to give it another shot for lunch.
From the very start, a horrible experience. At first it took a few minutes for a greeter to come when the place was not even half full. Then the young man proceeds to tell us that the kitchen was closed. We're asked about the other people dining in. He said that they were seated before they closed the kitchen. He then told us that they are renovating the kitchen, but yet they are still open? So as we turned to leave, he said that he was joking. We said "what? Really? ". He then said "no seriously, we're closed" when he already saw how upset we were. We told him that he was not funny and we again attempted to leave. He said again that he was joking. I expressed an outburst as he now severely upset my wife with his terrible attempt at humor, we then left.
Once we were in the car, my wife was so distraught that I alone went back in to confront the manager. The young man was at the front and I demanded to see the manager. He was extremely reluctant to help, so I began to find him myself. The young man jumped into the lead around the place, eventually to the manager.
I asked the man if he was the manager and he confirmed that he was. I explained what occurred and his response was less than expected. He never looked in my direction, not even once. He only said 'dirty you feel that way but if you come back we're still get you seated right away'. I expressed concern that he eased not receptive towards what had transpired and he said "so what do you want then?" I left.
We contacted corporate, who had a man named Adam Urey call me a day later. He said he was with the franchise and was on his way over to that location to review video from cameras. He said that he would call me back within the hour. He never called back.
The next day a man named Ryan who stated he was the manager (not the one I spoke with) said that Adam asked him to call. They reviewed the video of what happened with the greeter and they do not agree at all with his actions. They did not address how the manager at the time was unreceptive however and that increases the level of shame we felt (and still do feel). They offered nothing more than "we're sorry this happened and we assure you that if you come back, this will not happen again".
The greeter was a young, light skinned African American. My wife is Asian, I am Caucasian. The daytime manager is older, white and apparently just doing his job just to have a job, but in today's time our is easy to misconstrue this incident as racism from the greeter. Additionally both Adam and Ryan has offered no real apology, nor even an attempt. An attempt would be offering a free anything, drink, sandwich, fries, anything. I told them a written apology would be a good start since they offered no apology. They were unreceptive. I told them to think long and hard about what they was hard for their business because my wife and I will need to review this matter on social media. Still unreceptive. ...

I have been to several applebees across the 5 boroughs and I must say this location thus far is the best!!! My best friend and I was looking for a restaurant to get some food but it was late and almost everything was closing plus it was my bday weekend so we happen to stumble upon this applebees and the experience was everything we had a waiter name Joey he is such a sweetheart and very attentive to his customers we didn't have to look for him he wasnt over bearing and he brought all our food to us on time piping hot!! we love you Joey 💜 So I just had to tell his beautiful manager about him, her name is Sasha we see why she's the manager at that location she was very polite personable understanding and ran her restaurant like a boss while her employees never look stress out or unhappy it's my bday weekend and friends decided to give me shots (I'm a lightweight btw lol) but at the end of the night I became extremely sick and ended up vomiting in the bathroom smh soooo embarrassing🤦🏽♀️ I wanted to clean it up so I was asking Sasha for some gloves and cleaning liquid cause I felt that bad!!! But she in return gave me the most understanding face laugh it off with me and told me not to worried about it she will have someone clean it the comfort that she gave me made me feel like instead of her being a manager in that moment she was more of a friend🫶🏼 I appreciate that entire location the food was amazing!!! Btw not one single complaint my best friend and I live in Jamaica Queens but next time we want some applebees we will be coming alllll the way back to this location! Thanks so much everyone for making my experience worth...
Read moreHorrible service by waitress tonight. If I can give 0 stars I would. She was going around asking us for appetizers, I asked if we can place an order if we are ready as I'm not getting an appetizer. She proceeded to take my menu and flip to the appetizers page, pointed at it and said no I'm doing appetizers. Seriously? That was the first thing. Fine then whatever. I told her no I'm not ordering one I'm sharing it with my father.
She comes back to ask for drinks. I order a simple strawberry lemonade. 15 min passed and we are already finishing our appetizers and she already gave everyone else's drinks, except for 3 of us, 2 which were a Long Island Iced Tea and a Stella. She comes back and starts to ask what we want to order and is about to leave. I ask if the lemonade was coming and she says oh ya it's being made at the bar it will be here soon. 15-20 min to make a lemonade?? Ok. Fine. I ask her besides that if I can also order a Long Island Iced Tea. She asks me for a card, which I admit I didn't have on me and that's on me. Yet she didn't ask my brother who just turned 21 for a card and he ordered the same thing. I'm 32 years old and you insist on carding me but not my brother who couldn't legally drink 3 months ago. She says sorry we have to card. Really? So you card me, but not him? Ok. Then she comes back saying oh sorry we don't have your order do you want to order anything else? I still have no drink and we have already been sitting in the restaurant for a good 30-40 min. Ya no, I'm not going to order. I'm going leave this establishment and go across the street to Chile's to eat.
Never coming back to this place if this is the service you get. By the way, if you are going to card for alcohol, card everyone not just...
