Mamma Gina's Pizzeria and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

First time at this place and I was curious to try this place out after seeing the recent negative reviews. It's a small place seems to me that's its family owned and operated. The guy place is definitely not the cleanest or the newest. My request was simple 2 plain slices not too hot. My expectations were not high The 2 slices of pizza and a can of Pepsi was $6.50. Seems fair to me especially with the rising prices of all pizza ingredients and food service. The pizza is very specific. Its plain pizza, no special sauce no special cheese no special bread nothing too special about my slices of pizza at all. But I'm a simple guy who likes simple pizza. And this is textbook pizza that hit the spot. Sauce wasnt overbearing, the cheese was not too gooey and the crust was of reasonable size and was doughy, flaky with a subtle but enjoyable crunch as you ate it. Im big on the crust and it was great. I would come back here again for the plain slice because I'm honestly expecting a decent plain slice and this is great...

First off, this experience couldn’t have been worse and don’t order from here if you’re hungry or want the correct order. It took over an hour to arrive. I called the place to ask if the order left and the girl said yes, I confirmed again, then she said “no he’s leaving now” ????? They call me back to say they sent the wrong pizza and if I wanted the driver to come back for the right pizza. After an hour of waiting. THEN the square pizza has everything on it, and instead of having it as an “everything pizza” with the description as normal establishments do on Seamless. It just says “all”. As a vegetarian, we got pizza with meat on it. Ok whatever, my bad. On this everything pizza guess what my dad finds when swallowing? A huge piece of plastic he almost swallows and chokes on it. My husband ordered pizza tonight from mama Gina's. He found the pizza pie on the front stoop of my house on the floor! When he called mama Gina's he was told they tried to call and ring the bell. My husband was in the living room by the front door the whole time. And we there was no voicemail. You can see into the house from the stoop so you can see activity in there. Delivery guy was tipped via grubhub unfortunately. Mama Gina's has lost my business. Edited to add: I just viewed your response below. If you check your order history with Grubhub, I have ordered from you for years.
