This is the second time we have put an order in ahead for pickup, and they did not notify us when the order was ready, and let our food go cold while we waited. The first time we came up to the counter inside, and let the staff know we were there to pickup an order. The staff person at the register was very friendly, and let the staff in the back know we were there. We stood inside the store by the pickup counter while other customers were served ahead of us again and again. Finally we were able to flag down a staff person who was cleaning tables, and they checked for us and saw that they had finished our burgers and left them to go cold, but hadn’t started our fries yet. We didn’t get our food until an hour after we walked in the door. (When we had ordered ahead.) Almost a year later we decide to give them another try, choosing curbside pickup. (Which we assume means they bring the food out to you.) We had let them know we were on our way, and got to the parking lot, then selecting “I’m here” for our order, but no one ever brought out the food. My mother tried calling the store, but there was no answer. After waiting and still no food being brought out, my brother and mother went inside and found the burgers had yet again been sitting there getting cold, and the fries were not yet made, again. We had to wait again, almost an hour in total. I understand it is likely a flaw in their pickup system, but it still needs to be addressed. For food safety purposes it is not safe to serve burgers to customers that have been sitting out for that long. That said, the fries were very...

We ordered curbside pickup, which at any other retailer and restaurant, has been fine tuned to streamline the process as much as possible for a fast and convenient experience for the customer. Our experience with Five Guys during the COVID-19 pandemic was anything but.
My mother and brother, waited for almost 45 minutes outside of the restaurant for a curbside order that was placed online. They used the website to inform them that they were 'on the way' and also that they 'were here'. They called the restaurant multiple times and were met with a voicemail.
Ultimately, they had to go into the store and ask for their order, at which point the employee took their burgers off of an unheated shelf on which they'd been sitting below the food safe temperature of 140° F for most of the time they were waiting. Their french fries were cooked when they arrived, which is probably standard procedure considering they cook an endless stream of them.
I very rarely give bad reviews because I am a very optimistic and forgiving person, but this is the second time this has happened to us during the COVID pandemic and it's definitely a nail in the coffin for our dinners from...
Read moreOh Jesus Christ this is amazing. These burgers will literally blow your socks off. Literally. You need to wear shoes, or else your socks will explode. That's just how good these burgers are. I mean, if you could put angels and unicorns in burger form, you'd get the burgers from Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
And don't get me started on the Cajun-style fries. You get an entire shopping bag of them, and eating them is a religious experience. I'm pretty sure I saw Jesus outside the window giving me a thumbs-up when I first had these fries. He was all, "dude, you're eating the best fries in the universe." And I was all, "dude, I know."
Did I mention their soda machine? I think I should mention their soda machine. You can get orange Coca-Cola. That's two of the best things combined into one. But it doesn't stop there. Do you miss Vanilla Coke? Go to this restaurant and drink your heart out. They've got so many flavors it'll make you wonder why you've gotten soda from anywhere else.
The price is negligible--less than ten dollars for a meal of ambrosia and peanut oil. Your arteries will harden out of sheer joy.
