Nag's Head Ale House — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

Classic style pub, bar almost full length of establishment, with room for dance floor and libe music at the end (open mic monday, live performers saturday with $5fee but personally the open mic musicians are better). Small outdoor yard in back for smokers and fresh air (ironically). Owner Bronwyn is very cool, and very customer orientated. Bartenders and bouncers are git ir miss.. bouncers if course are always terrible, conmen, bullies.... but they're only on the weekends. Usually a younger crowd so it can be rowdy... kind if a turn off.... if your a kid, this is your place. No food, loud, and generally tasteless.......

Was looking forward to going there with my friend who was visiting from California, but they wouldn't let us in because her ID was from California. The rude bouncer just pointed to their sign that says they no longer accept out of state ideas and told us to keep it moving. Being 28 and getting denied from a bar because of a VALID ID is pretty ridiculous. So be prepared if you have friends that are from out of state (honestly, who doesn't?), you're not going there! My friends and I will never go there again...get over...

My friends and I went on a slow night and after being thoroughly inspected by the bouncer the bartender was openly hitting his THC pen then when we tried to get drinks was given an extremely rude and condescending attitude by the bartender and all 5 of us were denied service even after we all showed multiple forms of ID.
