I would not go here, there are waaaay too many kinks for a new place to even be open yet. Probably the worst experience I've ever had eating out. Took us over 20 mins to even be given water, I have been a server for years and the first thing you should be trained to do is greet customers and drop some water. Even after asking, we didn't get water, had to wait another 10 minutes to ask again while we were ordering. It seems like they only hired inexperienced staff, because half of the orders were wrong, we were never asked if we want a refill on anything, nor were we asked if our food was okay after we started eating it. It was nearly impossible to flag down a server as they all just hang around the bar chatting, even one of the chef's was around them chatting. It was not very busy at all, I could've ran every table myself with ease. All the staff needs better training.
Half our orders were wrong, the coffee tasted watered down and not good. All the potatoes were bland. They completely forgot one of our dishes, and if we asked for something on the side, it either did not come on the side or took extra time to just get some berries on a plate for the French toast. Most importantly, they apparently ran out of portobello mushrooms (one of the very few things that looked good to me on the menu) when 2 in our party got the veggie sandwich. They delivered it with a miniscule itty bitty mushroom scraps that BARELY filled even half the sandwich to both of us, claiming they will only charge us for one. Why would you not put all the mushrooms on one sandwich to create a full order/meal, and tell one of us you ran out so we can get something actually good and have a full meal instead of a sandwich with just mixed greens tomato and a tiny bit of pesto. I would've ordered something else, but there was nothing else appealing on the menu since they have very limited...
Read moreWe tried Over Easy for the first time over the weekend for Sunday Brunch around 12:30. While they still seem to be working out some kinks as they have only been open a few weeks for a smoother and more organized dining experience but overall we were pleased. They have a few tables outside but we sat inside, we were seated rather quickly but told the kitchen was backed up so they wouldn't take our order right away. The atmosphere is nice, greenery on the ceilings and an open bar/prep area to the back. They have a large menu, omelettes, eggs bene, waffles, pancakes, avocado toast options, salads, a few sandwiches and a huge chalk board on the left wall with daily specials and cocktails. The tables are close together but you do have enough room even as a party of 5 or more. They did take our beverage order rather quickly, water brought in a glass jar, we did have to wait for silverware they said they were getting it wrapped. Our party of 5 had coffee, a bloody mary which was a little bland and lacking any garnish or veggies but a nice large pour of prosecco. All the food portions were generous, you will not leave hungry. At our table we had the eggs in purgatory, spicy feta avocado toast and egg white omelets with turkey and avocado. A large selection of toasts to pick from and a large portion of home fries. Our server and the host that sat us and the food runner were all very friendly. We enjoyed our meal and look forward to dining again. Best of luck...
Read moreFood: 4/5 - Nice simple menu with interesting choices. The preparation was good. Tasty. They do not have basic eggs with bacon or sausage for those who don't want anything fancy. This seems unnecessary as some want just a well prepared classic breakfast. No digestion issues.
Service: 5/5 - I was worried after reading some of the more critical reviews that my service was not going to be quick or good. It was exactly the opposite. Introductions were quick. After the food arrived at the table, the staff checked on me at least 5 times including a visit by the manager. They kept my coffee full. This was great to see. Hopefully they can keep it up for the long haul.
Ambiance: 5/5 - Cheery atmosphere, nice design. They played some upbeat 80's music. They kept the volume at a soothing level for a morning breakfast. Lots of sunshine.
Cleanliness: 4/5 - The restaurant itself was very clean. While I was there, I saw someone cleaning including the windows, etc. The bathrooms look a bit older like they were not renovated, and they were not as clean.
Parking: 3/5 - Parking can be tricky in Huntington during busy times. You have to find a spot on the street or a lot.
Value: 4/5 - The prices were not bad for what you get.
Overall: 4/5 - Very attentive staff and some good food in a fun establishment. I'll be...
