I moved to the Village of Lewiston from out of state just shy of a year ago, and as a spoiled international business traveler, I quickly learned that finding a decent mixologist at the local restaurants was non-existent. Color me depressed—until I walked into Battle Flag Tavern. I am saved. Finally, a whole team of skilled mixologists who know exactly how to craft a drink that hits the mark every time. The attention to detail and creativity behind the bar is second to none, and you feel like you’re in the hands of true professionals who genuinely care about the art of mixology.
The only downside? No food. I’d love to see them offer a small charcuterie board—something simple, no kitchen needed, very little prep, and seen this done elsewhere in establishments of the same square footage. Just a little something to complement their incredible cocktails. Still, the drinks alone make this place a must-visit.
The patio is fantastic for people-watching and adds to the experience. The interior is decent but could benefit from more styling to enhance the ambiance.

I’ve never seen a bar that carried a gin gimlet on their menu before stopping here. It’s a small scene but worth the visit. The decor is stunning and chic. The staff are fast and friendly. They’re all masters of their craft. The pear ginger was such a refreshing cocktail. They also have a great selection of beer and wine. This is definitely a great location to stop before heading to an event or after. We will definitely be returning to try a couple more of those...
