Learn moreI took my daughter here for lunch after a very chaotic mommy daughter shopping day. Every human I encountered prior to this place made my day more and more unenjoyable with my kiddo. We had this super sweet girl take care of our table. Nikki I believe her name was. This lady must have seen the misery on my face, knew what to do and She was incredible. She Briefly related to me as I apologized and tried to ramble off my order, i was scatter brained. She was so interactive with my daughter, and actually LISTENED to her little 5 year old self try to explain what she would like to eat. She treated her as a human and didnt undermine her as ive had happen at other restaurants when my daughter wanted to soeak for herself. She made me laugh, was super attentive even though the pace was picking up in the restaurant. I know she was getting slammed but watching her buzz around, stay smiling with her guests, and still be able to act like a human that wasn't kissing butt for a tip was impressive. I didn't envy her rush one bit. However I envied her professionalism and efficiency. She made me feel like my day was nothing! Our food was really good too! And given the amount of people in there eating, I can only imagine the behind the scenes stress. I don't know how they do it back there but the flow with the kitchen and her made our time there seem like it was a well oiled machine. I was able to actually relax and enjoy a meal with my baby. Food industry folks do not get enough credit. I felt for these folks, but damn they didn't skip a beat. My daughter said it was her new favorite place and that our server was really funny and brought her favorite food. Two thumbs up to that kitchen crew and that champ of a woman Nikki. She kept it movin! As a self employed contractor I know all about a hustle and working until you're ready to collapse, so I applaud that girl. I'm built for drywall and flooring, but no way am I built like her. Beast! And great experience all around....
Read moreThe first waitress (Naimah) was EXCELLENT! She went on break and the other waitress never even came over to see if we needed anything. The "manager" and i use that term loosely Dawn was wrong on more than one level. First of all I don't appreciate someone giving me and my Husband and Sister cold hard stares, when I did nothing to cause her to shoot us the nasty stares. She was wearing an open sweater with a camisole top on and sitting at a table doing the schedules i guess but her breasts were falling onto the table. She was talking very loud to staff ( even though they were literally standing next to her.) Upon completing that she clears her paperwork heads behind the counter and loudly says, "THANK GOD I GOT THAT DONE AND OVER WITH!!" A couple in the corner didn't get the right order and she goes over and sits down next to the guy as close as she could and goes into why the order was wrong. She was so close that the woman with him looked like she was saying to herself why is she so close to my man? She went to the kitchen and lurched up by the cook and he even looked uncomfortable. Last but not least we waited 25 minutes after we were clearly done eating , (still had not seen the next waitress covering for the first one) as we wanted the check. We then got up and went to the register without a bill. I asked for manager's name and explained the story and was told "your not the first one to complain about the manager, I'm sorry for having that happen. We will NOT patronize this location when that manager is working EVER again. P.S. The 1 star rating I did give was only for the first waitress, she was the only...
Read moreIt's Denny's, so it's pretty much what you expect, I think. It's the standard diner fare, but I was a little disappointed with being up-charged for a side of bacon. I ordered an omelet with bacon and cheese, plus a side of bacon (I really like bacon). My omelet was supposed to come with potatoes and toast, but I'm on keto, so I asked the server to leave them off my plate. In that case, you might have thought a side of bacon would have counted as a substitute. You'd have thought wrong. It's not that I minded paying (okay, I kind of minded paying for it), but I would like to have been told ahead of time that I would be charged for the bacon. And if I'd known, I probably would not have ordered the extra bacon. Cuz three bucks for 4 slices of bacon? That's a lot to add to a breakfast bill.
The food was okay. The service was good. It was a snowy, icy day, and there was an employee out in that nasty weather spreading salt on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. (Way to go, Dude, for taking one for the team!)
I was a bit disappointed with how quickly I felt rushed out the door as I was paying, though. When I handed the employee my check and pulled out my debit card, I asked her if they still had a points program. She said they no longer had the app with the points but had another program. She didn't ask if I was a member or if I wanted to sign up. She spoke quickly and didn't really give me an opportunity to ask about it either. She gave me my total, took my money, thanked me, and rushed me...
