Read moreHorrible Customer Service and Inconsistent Experience!
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Bubbakoo's Burritos in New Paltz yesterday June 25th. The employees working on that day had no clue about their own promotions or how to properly serve customers. I'm baffled as to how they even got hired!
June 18th Experience: I saw an ad for a Taco Tuesday special on their website, though the price wasn't listed. I visited the location, inquired about the special, and was told I would get three tacos at a discounted price. I ordered one of each protein taco, and everything came to $5.67. The staff around 6pm on June 18th were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The tacos were filled with meat, and I was very satisfied with my meal. Shout out to everyone who worked that evening!
June 25th Experience: The experience on June 25th was the complete opposite. The staff had no idea about the Taco Tuesday special and tried to charge me extra for everything. They refused to let me mix and match my tacos, despite me doing that the week before. Additionally, they used meat from the fridge, which was then briefly heated on the stove. When I asked if this incurred an extra charge, they said no. However, at the register, I was told they didn't have a Taco Tuesday special, and I ended up paying $13.49 for far less food with barely any meat on the tacos.
Supposedly since 2008, Bubbakoo's Burritos has been bringing great food and positive vibes to neighborhoods. Their Mexican-inspired food and customer service are supposed to make you want to come back for more. However, this location in New Paltz seriously lacks consistency in both food quality and customer service. I will be filing a formal complaint because this is ridiculous! Avoid this place unless you want to risk a frustrating and...
Read moreI stopped by Bubbakoos and was very pleasantly surprised! Although the atmosphere isn’t for me (it’s way too bright), the food was great!
I actually have never ordered a burrito before in my life, so I didn’t know what I was doing- but thankfully it was relatively self explanatory and the process was simple.
I got a burritodilla which is a burrito that pretty much gets panini pressed. It was HUGE, and only like $10. Although it was tasty, the amount of rice put into it kind of overwhelmed the whole thing and by the time I got to the end, it was just all rice. I’d recommend asking for light rice if ordering this item.
I also got chips and queso, and there was nothing to complain about that!
My only issue was that I think it was too loud and too fast for me. Again, I didn’t know what I was doing, so that doesn’t help- but when ordering it felt like there was a language barrier (which there may have been), and it made the process confusing and hard for both me and the worker. There was a poster on the wall of how to eat a burrito, and though I’m sure it was satire, I fully thought that there should be something like that but for how to order.
I really...
