well i went in the other day to try the pizza for the first time. wasnt bad so i took a take out menu. today i thought of ordering to go. i called and asked what a stromboli is. Village pizza said they didnt know what a stromboli is. Basically offering something on the menu they have no clue what it is...how can they make food there fresh every day if they dont know what they are making? i said to the dude whats the diff. between the stromboli and the calzone...he said he looked up on google...and began to describe a physical diff. i said i would just order a pizza and not stromboli, and then jokingly said to the guy you shouldnt go in sales...its not your strong suit....he began to get loud and said how do you know, why are you putting me down...i said dude you didnt sell me on the stromboli when you had to look it up on the net...he said he didnt need my business i said i would speak to owner he said he was related and that he didnt care.
so i guess village pizza doesnt need any new customers who ask questions about their food.
Its a shame i was going to try to the stromboli and chicken soup and a pizza...prob. a thirty dollar sale and who knows how many future visits or people referred.
GOURMET also delivers and they are much more grateful...
Read moreOrdered large pizza, double order garlic knots (3 per order) and a chef salad (they were out of mozzarella sticks). $27.27 total. I had tried ordering through their website- pickup option was going to take an hour so called directly instead. Place was clean, staff friendly- one opened the door for me. I was only customer there (930pm) Order was ready. Didn't realize until I was home that I was only given one order of garlic knots (family of 4). Chef salad came with house dressing on side (my own fault for not specifying but was not asked either) Salad was lettuce with small pile grated carrots, smaller pile chopped olives, sliced onions, two small rolls of turkey/ham/American cheese (?maybe salami) cut into pieces and a small pile of pickled vegetables ( 5 pieces carrot, one cauliflower) for $8.50 plus tax. Pizza was good, garlic knots were better. Overall, friendly service didn't make up for quality or...
Read moreA few of my friends and I ordered a cheese pizza, a buffalo pizza and a dozen wings to go. When we went in to pick it up we gave the guy a 50 dollar bill (because they dont except credit) and they gave us $4 back. Unfortunately we didn't realize how much the change was until we had left and realized it must've been a mistake. When we called back the lady who picked up the phone gave us an attitude and told us it wasn't a mistake and that any gourmet pies are $20. I never leave reviews on things but I figured this seriously deserved a bad review. The pizza was horrible and the wings weren't any better. Not to mention there was about 4 pieces of chicken on the Buffalo chicken pizza. I would never go back and I wouldn't recommend...
