Pretty upset with this restaurant to be honest. On the front cover of the menu it specifically says to alert your server of any food allergies so my husband alerts the younger waitress (18-28 y/o- not that that matters) of a egg and dairy allergy. So she fails to tell him that his meal comes with egg drop soup (literal chunks of hardboiled egg in it) and a side salad that has a very creamy dressing on top (highly doubt that it did not have milk or egg in it- a friend that was dining with us ended up eating it and said it tasted extremely creamy) So... my chopsticks smelled of straight river water...gross... our food came out plate by plate (restraunt was not busy at all but it went like this: I got a dish, the people that came in after us got one, we got another, people before us got one, crazy mess!) and waitresses at one point sent my friends Spider roll back to the sushi chefs because it had too many pieces on the plate? (when it actually got to our table you could see where two had been removed) to make it even weirder was that my friend asked how many were supposed to come in that specific roll before she even ordered it and the waitress said she didn't know but somewhere between 6-9 (it came to our table with 5 pieces total- after the two had been removed?? Like what?). The spider roll also had a mysterious seafood in it- we assume it was a breaded shrimp but it was very brown and smelled just plain bad. All of our rolls were not very well wrapped either and the avocado used was extremely over ripe. The waitress never asked us if we needed a refill on drinks or asked how the food tasted. Yes, I am being nitpicky but I just expected more from a sit down sushi restaurant that we spent $27 per person at. Our order: 2 avocado rolls (very small 6 piece roll), 2 spring rolls ( come 2 per order and are a smaller piece of food than I have typically been served at a restaunt, also, they come fried not fresh like I thought they would be), 2 fountain drinks, and the tofu teriyaki meal (this is silken tofu, lightly breaded and pan fried (could have used egg in badder- waitress couldn't give us a yes or no when we asked). Totaling $54. My only positive was that I did not walk out of the restaurant feeling sick... which was a little suprising. Typically I tip 20-30% of the bill, I figure if I choose to be lazy and want waited on it is the least I can do.... but I will admit I left a very messily tip after this...
Read moreI searched Main Street Cooperstown up and down looking for a good place to eat for lunch for my family when I walked by Mt Fuji sushi and decided to give it a try. My 9 year old son loves sushi, and he ordered a Bento box and loved it. The food was really good but in my opinion a bit overpriced, probably because of the tourist trap that is known as the Baseball Hall of Fame. Outside there's a menu that people can look at before they go in. Inside the restaurant it was really clean and the service from the staff was excellent. There are bathrooms available and the dining areas were very clean. The food was really good and fresh and you can eat indoors, outdoors and you can even order ahead for a quick pickup. This is a good choice for lunch or dinner and you won't be disappointed. I rate this place 4 stars and not 5 because of the price to pay for...

The food came out very quickly, 5-10 minutes from my order. Their tempura bento box was excellent! Each piece was delicately fried. The accompanying dumplings and sushi (cooked) were delicious! The preceding miso soup was exactly on point and the meal finished with an elegantly cut orange. The chicken teriyaki (hibachi) was seared, yet juicy and tender. Perfect. On top of everything, the experience felt authentic. The service was extremely friendly, and the presentation of each meal was elegant and careful. I am so glad...
