Delicious subs - good enough to make the trip from Montreal! We regularly come to the US for shopping and have had Jersey Mike's at the Williston, Vermont location several times. I heard these might be the same owners? Both locations offer great service and food.
Location wise - this is close to the Walmart so perfectly on the way and accessible for anyone in the area. Parking is a bit tight and the restaurant itself is very small. There are maybe only 10 or so places to sit down and eat. I would recommend ordering to go - either through the app or online. We placed an order online on Saturday April 20th around 1PM and since they were swamped, the estimate for pick up was an hour later. Since they have opened this month, Jersey Mike's has been super popular so huge lines and a longer wait time are normal. They are working at full capacity though there's an army of employees ready to serve.
Don't come in if you are in a rush - wait a few more weeks for the hype to settle down.
I love that even through the app or online you can customize your sandwich and add your own personal note, for example if you want any sauces or extra things on the side.
If this is your first time, I recommend getting an Italian style sub, such as the number 5 or 13 and ask for "Mike's Way", this is the oil and vinegar dressing and italian seasoning. There are many other options to add. If you are in the mood for a hot sandwich, the philly cheesesteaks are amazing! These actually are good cold too. We ordered a "giant" size which is about 15 inches and saved some leftover for the next day and it was still yummy.
Can't really go wrong with a sandwich especially if you decide what goes in it, but contrary to subway I like the fixed menu, it takes some guesswork out of what you're getting and the quantity of meats and toppings is a lot more generous.
I would eat these every day if I...

So, originally I gave Mike's a 3 star and after a few more tries with them I honestly believe they deserve a 4, at least.
Out of 4 subs ordered I only had one screw up. I called in and said the sub was a literal disaster (and it was), and thankfully because I did it through THEIR app they just refunded me. The manager blamed it on "employees in training", which may be the case. Hopefully they're better now because that was just sloppy. The bread should NEVER be soggy. There's a proper way to layer everything and only if you do it wrong or just don't care and make a mess then your bread should never be soggy, even on a delivery order. Yea, when you get a sub made Mike's Way it's "wet", but not the bread itself. If you know what I mean then you get it.. if you don't get what I mean, then you haven't ordered from here yet, huh? 🤔😁
Anyway.. I've tried the Club Sub, the Original Italian and the Big Kahuna. Personally, the Original Italian is the G.O.A.T. Get it Mike's Way with Rosemary Parm bread and you WON'T be disappointed if you're a meat lover. For HOT subs.. the Big Kahuna was awesome. I got it as-is, and even though I actually don't like mushrooms I tried it with them and it was STILL great. Also get this one with Rosemary Parm bread. I didn't know if the American cheese would work well (usually it's Swiss, right?), but it was great. It stayed hot and cheesy, had great flavor from the meat, and the jalapenos really made it special.
Anyway.. just updating my original review to make it more fair. Jersey Mike's really is good for a chain sub shop. They blow Subway out of the water, and do things differently than local sub shops like Zuke's. So Zuke's has nothing to worry about because IMO, the two place don't even make the same type of...
Read more2nd Edit: My order ended up being 38 minutes late... Factor that in when you're thinking of using the app. Unbelievable. Also, 10 employees working. 6 were working the walk-in counter, 2 were floating around, and only 2 were working on the mile of online orders. But again, they had already gotten the money from those orders, so why bother prioritizing them.
Edit: If you use the app, don't bother. It is faster to walk in and order your sub(s) in person. My pickup time passed 20 minutes ago...still sitting in the store waiting as I write this. In that time, about 10 people have come in and gone to the counter and left. It seems they don't prioritize the pickup orders because they already have your money. But the customers walking in who haven't forked over $17/sub yet get theirs first. I like Jersey Mike's in general, but this is the slowest, most poorly run location I've encountered yet.
Glad we have a Jersey Mike's in town. I always look for one when I travel and now I have one right here. So much better than any other chain sub shop (Subway, Jrecks, etc). Welcome...
