Others in our party enjoyed the Halibut and Steelhead. Service was slow. Atmosphere is noisy when the restaurant is full. Arugula with blueberry and strawberry was nice. Sorbet choices of lemon and mixed nondescript berries was nice. For a VEGAN meal, not many choices. Menu does Not indicate that the eggplant and pasta dish is really hot spiced, with Not much pasta. I went home and ate peanut butter. Menu does not indicate Gluten free. Our friend had to ask about it. The menu is from the last century. It should be clearly labeled Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free. Most other restaurants in the area follow this practice. I won't be back, because there is not a good Vegan meal for me. My fish eating friends can eat fish elsewhere. We spent $350 for a party of 5, including a bottle of wine, salad and dessert, tax and tip.

We started our dinner with a pizza to share and an order of fries. The fries were delicious crisp and salted with a nice aoili on the side. The pizza was fantastic with pear and arugula. Was a nice medium size to share with a table. We heard market st has amazing pasta dishes, so the majority of us ordered pastas. All of the pastas were great with fresh flavors and sauces that were not overpowering or drowning the pastas. Can't go wrong with any of the pastas we had. The duck was also cooked to temp and very good as well. The desserts were ok, if you were debating between appetizers or desserts, the appetizers were definitely worth trying more. The service was great, our server was friendly and made notes on all of our needs. Will definitely visit again!

SO SAD. I've dined in at this restaurant multiple times. Tonight, I ordered takeout, meant to be a little treat. I waited an entire hour, sat at the bar with a $20 cocktail, and had to check in with the hostess since the order was late. I arrived home, cracked open a nice bottle of wine, and this is the $60 meal that awaited me... 7 miniscule tortellini (that tasted store bought) and a pathetic attempt at a "cheese-filled pizza" that was more of a stale, no-cheese, rationed bread. Oh, and did I mention it was all cold despite the wait time?? A complete waste of time and money. Sadly, I will not be returning (nor will any of my local friends). Conclusion = Market St. should visit the market for more, and better, supplies. Oh, and have a bit more dignity.

A near miss on food quality. Very good. Not great. And the price-value ratio is off putting. Overpriced, especially appetizers such as the 3 or 4 meatballs on a dollop of polenta. Good, but not worth the cost. Pizzas are excellent particularly the Parma with prosciutto and the one with fig jam. Pasta portions are ample, but this close to being drowned in their sauce. A dinner special of nice size tasty scallops with orichietti was very good. Appealing desserts.

Dinner for 4 was $297. including tax but pre-tip. Multiple appetizers, including a shared pizza, 4 main courses and 4 desserts. Soft drinks. No alcohol.

Service was good and food came out promptly.

Problem: the entrance does not have a true airlock. Both doors are frequently open for prolonged periods of time as groups of people arrive and leave, often at the same time. On a cold night the front room is continually blasted with winter air. Then the HVAC kicks in, pushing warm air in your face for a few minutes from vents high on the walls. Then you're cold again. Install a bigger real airlock and properly balance the HVAC system.

Rhinebeck has good restaurant competition. Haven't been to Gigi's in a while, but the food quality and prices there were comparable to Market Street. Terrapin, while not "Italian," serves very good food and is...

Skip this restaurant please total rip off horrible food I wish we went for pizza!! First time at this restaurant great ambience but all show no go when it comes to food. Our waiter Nick was excellent and our appetizers were pretty good except for the salad which was a microscopic amount on a plate . The main courses were completely dreadful almost like cafeteria food probably worse. I ordered the steak with fries medium rare. I was brought a dry slab of meat that was disgusting and in flavorful inconsistently cooked. It was served in a plate with french fries for 20 people. The person that I was with had the Sea bass. It was served in a plate with sauce parts of it over cooked parts of it too chewy it was the type of main course that the second you take one bite out of it you know it is absolutely horrible - no vegetable no excitement in this restaurant at all regarding pride and presentation of food absolutely no Effort!!! It was $165 for two people we each had one drink and a dessert. This place is a total rip off and once again an example that if you put a restaurant in a trendy place even if it sucks people will go but this sucker will never go back there again fool me once you got me - fool me twice I'm never coming back to your crappy restaurant and will tell all my friends to...

We’ve dined here twice. The first time, everything was excellent, even exceptional. We came back tonight with high expectations.

Some things continued to be good. The bartender, tonight tasked with making drinks and pouring wine alone for the entire restaurant, was friendly and attentive though constantly insanely busy. Food arrived HOT from the kitchen every time, nothing sat before coming out. These things were great.

On the other hand. The calamari went from among the best we’ve ever had, on our first visit, to being oily and overcooked tonight. The scallops were overcooked and too salty. The pasta with clams was a fat long noodle, too thick for that type of sauce. They remade it for us but the second try felt like desperation; the clams were raw, the sauce was not reduced enough, the pasta was swimming in a weak clam broth rather than a sauce. We ordered a side of summer beans and the beans, though charred, were raw.

After such a good first visit tonight was very disappointing.

Note that this is Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The place was incredibly busy. It seemed like they might have just booked a lot more tables than the kitchen...
