It's a perfect hideaway from the world nestled at the top of the hill in Woodstock. An intimate setting with an entire upstairs that boasts retro arcade games. Though that's not only reason for going.

The cocktail program boasts several spins on classics that are thoughtfully put together & a selection of classics that every bartender should know & execute flawlessly. Mark, the owner has taken pride in his work & it shows with the layout of the bar to the curated selection of premium spirits from smaller producers.

We tried for years & couldn't find a single venue in Woodstock, let alone most of Ulster County that knew how to make a Vieux Carre, a Sazerac, an Improved Whiskey Cocktail, or even a Naked Famous & few if any can or do.

It is a very small and cozy place. One guy was managing all the tables. They put root rooted onions as a decoration, which was funny.

For drinks we ordered winter ambiguity and amethyst. Both were good. Lavender peach lemon foam was on top and it tasted sweet and sour. Uncle albert was good too. LOVE the interior of this place. Drinks are pretty spectacular, but their seating is just SOOOO uncomfortable and there is zero acoustical absorption in the place. “Small talk” from everyone packed into the 12x16 space bounces off the walls and makes the place very noisy and hard to hear in. I want the comfort of their chairs to match the cozy warm environment and for them to install some acoustical absorbing materials so that I can hang out here...
