C&R Pub — Restaurant in Towson

It's quite a shame. I was in the area looking for a BLT and one of the local vendors recommended this restaurant.

I was informed my friend and I could seat ourselves. Perhaps this would be a better reveiw had we receiced any actual assistance.

Fairly slow day, perhaps two other happy tables finished with their meals and conversing, but for some reason we were invisible 👦🏾👦🏿

After waiting patiently for maybe 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us I noticed directly to my left some ladies printing tickets from the computer... so close I could physically touch them. I thought maybe they would say something, maybe ask if we'd been helped; no such luck.

Deciding to go I wanted somebone to know how unpleasant this was. I waived at the three ladies, two of which were looking in our direction "Hello", I said politely... They looked right through me 🤣. Jeez, I didn't want to cause a scene. I just started waiving a bit crazier until someone (and it was painful) acknowledged us. I kindly told the ONE lady that decided to respond that we'd been waiting for quite a while. She was pleasant, apologized, and offered us menu's but the other two women didn't bat an eye 🤦🏾‍♂️.

This is just deplorable. I can give them the benefit of the doubt and say perhaps they didn't notice we'd been waiting. A simple apology for the "mistake" and acknowledgment from the staff would have prevented...

Last night a little after 10pm I went to the bar to have drink and sat for about 5mins before a bartender even came to the side of the bar where I was, before the bartender came over another gentleman sat 2 chairs down from me and got immediate service. I didn’t get frustrated until the bartender walked away after taking the Gentlemans drink order and didn’t even acknowledge me and my friend like we weren’t even there. I waved her down and asked her could we get two shots. She makes the drinks and asked if I wanted to close my tab , I let her know to keep it open, but I received a message from my bank that a charge has been made on my account.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 I THOUGHT CARDS WERE NOT RAN THROUGH UNTIL YOU WERE READY TO PAY, she gave me my card back with no receipt. In this moment this lady made me feel so uncomfortable and most certainly not welcomed to the C&R Pub . I thought this place was one of Towson top 3 bar choices for ANYONE!!!!!!!!!! The two guys that work behind the bar are awesome and has great customer service, they made me feel like a paying customer from the first time 2 years ago , so they where the reason why I continue to come back . Highly disappointed and upset that someone can come to work and treat someone like that and this is your place of work . I WAS a customer just like everyone else was on 6-7-23 . I was looking forward to an afternoon of bar food and NCAA basketball on 3/18/22. I organized a group of 8 friends to meet me there. There was maybe 20 other people in the bar. It was hands down the worst service I have ever had at a bar (I've been going to bars for 40 years). We were there a total of 3 hours and never once did the bartender ask us if we needed anything without me having to physically go get her (she would NEVER make eye contact with me). She stormed around the bar in a frenzy and looked miserable. She was "too busy" to tend to my requests to show the basketball games that we wanted to watch or open the garage door because it was 75 degrees and beautiful outside. My plan was to stay for another few hours but I was so frustrated about the service and embarrassed that I asked my friends to come there that I decided to move the whole party to Barleys' Backyard for the remainder of the night--where we got great service (and 2 for 1 drinks!) I will never go...
