Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Tracy

I will never return to this location. Call me stupid if you want to but this is the second time that I have gotten food poisoning from this location. I grabbed a sandwich yesterday and took a few bites before jumping back on the expressway. Not even three miles into my drive, I felt hot and sweaty and stomach aching. I told my champion what was going on and he said nothing was happening with his stomach but we should pull over. I drove an additional 30 minutes and I was in serious pain and had to throw up from the chicken sandwich which I had only taken a few bites. The nauseous, 🤮 pain for the next hour driving was horrible. Once reaching my destination it was the worst feeling ever including the shakes, stomachache, nausea, diarrhea and sweating. The steak sandwich that my friend ate caught up with him a few hours later as he throw up and had the worst diarrhea ever. Needless to say that again this morning with both have the same symptoms as we experienced yesterday. I had a chicken sandwich and he had a steak sandwich. All I can think of is that the grill was contaminated, the meats were not stored correctly at a safe temperature or the produce was contaminated. All I know is that I will never, ever eat anything from this place again. Disappointed that I spent my $52.00 and the only person that enjoyed the sandwiches was the garbage can. I like number 5 Mike's way and my guy likes the melty cheese steak. The meats and cheeses are sliced as you order and taste really fresh. They serve some Italian cold cuts that are not served elsewhere. I think it's a special prosciutto. I can never eat more than half but I keep ordering bigger because it's just so so yummy. I don't know if ordering online helps,but I have had to wait a while if we get there at lunch time. Still, we wait because there's no jersey Mike's in our town and it's so great. The place is really clean including the bathroom,and there's plenty of seating inside or in a lovely shady courtyard with big tables and benches. They have good food, but on my LAST visit I was overtly bypassed 3 times for service in favor of people behind me in line. I bathe, am well dressed, give generous tips, and am polite. I don't know what the deal was. It was as if I was a ghost and no one even saw me in the store until I exclaimed that I would take my business elsewhere and left. Even then, the person making the sandwhiches refused to acknowledge my existence. The manager followed me outside and tried to give some phony platitudes, but at that point it was too late.
