Today, I was racially discriminated against at Zaxby's in Travelers Rest, SC!
Instead of waiting in a long drive-thru line, I decided to go inside the restaurant to order my food. I placed and paid for my order at 1:35pm. I only ordered one regular chicken sandwich (no meal, no drink) - and sat down at table located in the front of the register.
After patiently waiting for 15 minutes, I reminded the cashier, Aurora B., that I had not received my sandwich and that people who ordered after me have received multiple meals. Aurora B. proceeds to tell the kitchen staff and informs me the reason I have not received one chicken sandwich was because they didn't have any made. I replied, "Okay", and continued to wait.
After noticing an empty drive through line and groups of people receiving multiple orders, I knew something was not right...
At 2:07pm, I still did not have a sandwich that I paid for. I asked for a refund and to speak with the manager. The manager refused to address the issue and refused to give me their contact information to speak about my concerns by phone. Aurora B. told me I did not have my sandwich because they are "very busy - and did not have sandwiches ready. I am sorry." Literally, her words after watching me wait over 30 minutes.
Keep in mind, at least ten (10) orders were served after me - not including the long drive-thru line, that was empty when I left the restaurant.
I was racially discriminated against at Zaxby's in Travelers Rest, SC because I was the only non-white customer in the building and the only one who had to wait over 30 minutes for their food. Even after waiting over 30 minutes, the restaurant refused to serve me and the manager refused to address the issue and my concerns.
I politely accepted my refund and told Aurora B. to have a nice day! Then, I drove to another Zaxby's location at Cherrydale. I placed the same order and was served within 2 minutes. I informed two employees of my experience at the Zaxby's in TR. They were both shocked and apologized for the horrible customer service. The manager at the Cherrydale location stated that even on their busiest days, it will not take over 30 minutes to receive one sandwich.
My advice to any non-white person, DO NOT give your time or money to the Zaxby's in Travelers Rest, SC. They are RACIST! Corporate will know about this experience as well as the local news station. It is 2023 and racism will no longer be allowed or tolerated.

Read more(This is the zaxby in travelers rest) I got home and forgot to get a nibbler's meal I normally don't complain because I work with the public. I went threw to order a nibbler's meal. Emily was very disrespectful,rude and hateful. I ask did the meal come with a drink she wanted to argue with me at the window because she said I didn't want a drink. IT COMES WITH A DRINK WHY WOULDN'T I WANT IT? Emily told me to pull around never told me a price at all. Came to the window took my card still hasn't told me the price. I had to ask the price. Why didn't she tell me the price. Was she going to add something else on my order for herself and think I wouldn't know that is being a theft what if she taking cash and not telling the people the price are is she taking there money and keeping some of it. That's the way I took it. I would never have her at the drive thru she shouldn't work with the public and she sure doesn't need to be around money You should never tell a car to pull around for the price you should never take there payment without giving them a price. How many people have she done like this? I took as she was going to use my card for herself and that's why she didn't give me the price I had to ask. Again I should never have to ask what the price was it should of been told to me at the drive threw. She mumble something to the other cowork. I am sure it was about my order. Her hair she of been pulled up in a ponytail instead of down. I told to the manager he was very nice and kind that he would take care of it on his end. I will be in touch...
Read moreThe food here is good. That’s not what I’m complaining about. Today my family and I wanted Zaxby’s. My Mom, brother and sister got the Mr. Beast boxes. My Dad got a shrimp plate and I got the chicken bacon loaded fries. Keep in mind we live about 10-15 min away and with how gas prices are we don’t want to waste a lot of gas. When we got home we all were ready to eat our food because we were starving. Unfortunately, we were greatly disappointed when we open our plates to see that we didn’t have much food. The Mr.beast boxes barely had any food in it, the chicken bacon loaded fries only had half the amount of food than it usually does and then the shrimp plate only had 3-4 shrimps and hardly any fries. That’s not worth the $52 price that I paid. Plus that’s not enough food to fill up my family. On top of that all the drinks were flat. My mom called and complained and the manager said that he KNEW that the drink machine was not working properly and that the shrimp plate should come with 8 shrimps. Why would you sell flat drinks to your costumers?? That’s insane!! He said that we could bring the food back and they remake it. We did that. Got home and all the food was good. I feel like they should do a lot better considering their drive thru lines are always backed up to Texas.
