If you're looking for a spot in Traverse City that combines fantastic food with a warm, inviting atmosphere, Bubba's is your go-to. My wife and I recently visited, and we were blown away by every aspect of our experience.
The Food: We started with beers, which was an excellent way to sample some local brews. The selection was diverse, and each beer had its unique charm. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the Shrek burger, while my wife chose the Fiona sandwich. Both were out of this world. The burgers at Bubba's are not just burgers; they're a culinary adventure. The patty was perfectly cooked, the toppings fresh, and the bun was just the right amount of soft and toasty. The Fiona sandwich was equally impressive, with flavors that danced on the palate, making it a memorable choice.
The Atmosphere: The ambiance at Bubba's is laid-back yet lively. It's the kind of place where you feel instantly at home. The crew was not only friendly but also genuinely seemed to enjoy their work, which always makes a dining experience better. We found ourselves engaging in delightful conversations with fellow patrons at the bar, sharing stories and laughs, which added to the overall warmth of the place.
Service: The service was top-notch. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our plates were cleared promptly. The staff's knowledge of the menu and their recommendations made our dining choice easier and more enjoyable.
Overall: Bubba's in Traverse City is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. From the fantastic food to the friendly staff and the convivial atmosphere, every element contributes to making your visit memorable. If you're in Traverse City, do yourself a favor and stop by Bubba's. You won't regret it. Thank you, Bubba's, for a delightful evening that we'll cherish for...
Read moreGreat experience! Standard prices for right now. Order for 4 was about $91. The portions were large. One of the few times my teen boys didn't clear their plate. They took some onion rings home but finished the burgers. I had the pulled pork mac & cheese, excellent size portion- tasty! I ordered a non alcoholic bloody Mary, it had amazing flavor- a little too spicy for me but filled the craving I've had for one. I'm really taking the time to write this because our server (according to my receipt) was Jarrod. He was amazing! Very impressive service, you can tell he's been in the service industry for a while. The restaurant was slammed and he was on his game. I was impressed not only with our service but watching him with his other tables as well. I've been in customer service my whole life, I take a lot of pride in it and can instantly recognize someone that has that same pride. Thanks for being awesome! We had about a 20 minute wait because it instantly started pouring rain outside so everyone ran to the restaurants to to wait out the rain. I only really have two things that were not great but I would still definitely go back! The line was out the door and no one was checking on the line so it took me a bit to find out if they had a waiting list. I decided to bust through the line and ask. No one behind me knew either so I tried to tell as many people as I could to check in. The other thing was that the AC was blasting. I realize it's summer but everyone was freezing who got caught in the rain and even people who didn't were making comments. All the ladies I looked at were shaking or holding their arms because they were only wearing t-shirts. I did see one person buy a sweatshirt because they were cold. Good for sales I guess. Otherwise a...
Read moreI have been going to Bubbas since I was in my teens. I have always loved it when I went to Lyft in my mid-20s. I recommended it to everyone I drove. When my fiance applied last month, I was excited for her on the surface. Bubbas seemed like an amazing workplace and environment. The first two weeks, that was the case. However, by third that new employees welcome was over, and the true behavior of the employees began to shine through. I picked her up from work on the verge of tears multiple times. Ridiculous work hours and schedules were completely normal. I recall one week where she offered to cover an employee by working a double and when she realized she was scheduled at 7am the next day and asked to have it off since she had just worked 11am to 11:30 pm after already working 4 previous opening shifts back to back and she was told she had to show up or find a replacement. I watched the woman I love's health continually decline while her managers demanded more and more. On another occasion, her coworker refused to clock her out unless she rolled all three tubs of silverware, a job that is supposed to be split among all servers. Another manager stepped up to her defense, but the next day, she was met with hostility by that employee. Watching someone I love internally panic and dread showing up to a job she was initially so excited to have was a true eye opener as what kind of business Bubbas is. This truly saddens me because Bubbas has always had such a good place in my memories, but underneath the surface, this place...
