"Flat 301 abounds as being a true urban oasis close to all the best of downtown Traverse City. Each interior space has been carefully designed to create a sense of calm, having beautiful sight lines, and well-appointed furnishings obviously selected to enhance the Flat’s hip vibe.
The decor’s genuine appeal is gained through the use of neutral colors, top quality materials, and pieces scaled to blend together harmoniously. Each structural element of the Flat is showcased by total updates to modern fixtures and appliances that fit just right in the historic building. Architectural details are apparent in every interior space and especially the building’s facade.
The ultra soft all cotton linens within the Flat’s bed and bath are supplied by your host’s Home Goods shop, eelo, located on the building’s 1st Floor. All the premium textiles discovered throughout the Flat including throw pillows and kitchen towels may be seen in eelo’s well designed showroom beneath the Flats.

The reserved parking space dedicated to each tenant allows for seemless in-and-out leisurely day trips to the Leelanau Peninsula’s treasures that are just minutes away; although, opting to leave your vehicle parked and walkabout for all things an Up North resort town offers is definitely doable.
Dining out at Amical is a not to miss experience. The restaurant is located a 4 minute walk away on Front Street. General Manager, Jeffrey Libman, who has 17 years of experience at Amical recently gained ownership of the establishment that has been serving outstanding dinners for the past 30 years.
Alternatively, a short walk away is Oryana— a fresh-organic locally sourced market stocked with everything needed for a gourmet meal that can be prepared in a snap inside the Flat taking advantage of a very well-equipped kitchen.
Espresso beverages are available from a few cafes in town. I recommend Mundos 305 (about a 4 minute walk away) where freshly roasted beans are delivered from Mundos HQ a few blocks further.
On the other hand, your hosts have equipped the Flat’s kitchen with a Moccamaster drip coffee brewer and Higher Grounds coffee, which will not disappoint.
Higher Grounds Trading Company is another great choice in town for coffee lovers. Visiting the cafe that’s part of The Village at Grand Traverse Commons is a worthwhile trek by bike or a long walk. Either way, plan your route to incorporate Sixth Street lined with impressive homes and gardens.
Cycling around town as well as heading out from the Flats to more distant locations is very accessible from your Flat at Front and Union. The short loop around Boardman Lake is a picturesque Ride. Heading west cyclists pick-up the Leelanau Rail trail paved 17 Miles all the way to Suttons Bay.
The Flats at Front + Union is right next to The City Opera House opened in 1892. This Victorian Era landmark has a full calendar of live events headlined by varied performances.
Your Flat too is sure to be a showstopper in the realm of anyone’s overnight stays...
Read moreMy wife and I had a wonderful long weekend in Traverse City and the condo was fantastic. The location was truly amazing. We were right in the heart of the city, easy to walk out the front of the building and walk to restaurants, coffee shops, wide range of shopping as well as energetic night life. In addition, we were only 2 blocks from the beach / waterfront.
We went on a number of excursions outside Traverse City as well. An afternoon excursion to Sleeping Bear Dunes to do some hiking, which was a 30 min drive. A bike ride around Torch Lake starting in Elk Run, about 25min ride Dinner at the Boathouse restaurant, just 15 mins drive (amazing food).
We were the first guest to stay at the property following renovations. We were a bit nervous, however, the facility was in great shape with a working elevator, code locked doors after hours, great parking in the rear, a big family room, great fully stocked kitchen, and the master bedroom and bath were super clean and comfortable. Overall the property was much bigger than we expected and this made us feel right at home.
FInallly, Steve was a fantastic host. The communication before during and after our visit was tremendous.

Read moreWe were making our first trip out to Traverse City and we were looking for a larger space since we are traveling with a toddler. Being able to put a toddler down for a nap in a separate room is a big deal for us. We were really happy to find this rental that feels like it would be on some of the other booking platforms which have gone way out of hand lately. We were able to enjoy a central location in Traverse city - we were able to easily get out to 2 of the nearby lighthouses, Torch lake and be able to enjoy the local amenities like the street festival on Friday and farmers market on Saturday. Having your own dedicated reserved parking space is such an added bonus. We were able to park and be in our flat in less than a minute. We will definitely be returning to this location and as our party size expands we're happy to see there are even larger flats available. Highly recommend and the booking process was very streamlined with excellent...
