Came here on Saturday morning August 2nd Beautiful coffee shop, phenomenal food that Reuben was top notch, staff was nice up until we got to the waiting area i sat with my fiance who ordered a coffee, remember we didn’t even sit far away from where they call out the names so hearing wasn’t an issue… but then 10 minutes go by and I get mine and my fiances sandwiches then 20 minutes go by I decide to go outside to find a chair to sit out there for about 15 minutes until my fiance comes out crying embarrassed and feeling disrespected by someone who looked like a women but had facial hair, they had the audacity to say to my fiance after she asked where her drink was after waiting for almost 35-40 minutes for a coffee “is the coffee in front of you? No? Then it isn’t ready. ?!?!?! Who says that to a customer? Not everyone has a smoothed brain like this person did but thought that saying that and then adding “not meaning to be disrespectful” clearly that person hasn’t gotten snuffed in the face so I let them keep trying to find an excuse to why she had to speak to my woman like it was even appropriate to talk like that to someone especially at your job, I just let that person ramble on excuses, I wasn’t in the mood to get nasty with that person, I was on vacation. shoutout to the young lady who was next to her she noticed I was there for some time and asked for my name got my drink out to me right away while that other person was trying to say they already sent it out, homie if you did my fiance would’ve never asked you about her drink just to hear your corny disrespectful sarcasm 🤦🏽♂️ got a coupon for 2 free drinks from the young lady who helped me we aren’t from Michigan so we weren’t able to use them nor did my fiance wanna go back after that experience idk if work got to fast paced for that person or if they need to go to aldis where they allow workers to sit and relax because there’s just no place to be speaking to costumers like that even if “I mEaNt...
Read moreThe short version? YUM. The long version? I knew I had about three hours to burn downtown TVC, and when looking for the best coffee in the area, this spot popped up on EVERY list. Homemade syrups, pastries from a local bakery, conscious ingredients, and a friendly atmosphere were the four mentions that drew me here. And after a deep dive in the menu, I knew what to order before I came in! As I rolled my suitcase to the counter (literally fresh from the airport), Tommy welcomed me with the biggest smile like I was a friend he hadn’t seen in a while. I told him I was in town visiting, and he shared so much about the menu with genuine excitement about the shop, which made it so fun!! Soon Topher came over too and I seriously felt so welcomed. I asked about the “jelly eggs,” which unfortunately had just ran out, but then Tommy came over and literally said he’d go home to pick up the fresh order that arrived so I could try them. I own a coffee shop back home, and this level of kindness, enthusiasm, and passion I experienced here does not go unnoticed. Of course everything was DELICIOUS and presented beautifully, and I just loved my time here....
Read moreI’ve had Outpost twice now courtesy of my employer buying it for us at work. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt after the first bad experience, but after the second I know that it’s just plain bad coffee and food. The first time, I got an iced mocha and it was bitter and burnt as could be. Quite honestly the worst coffee I’ve ever had, and I’m not normally someone that’s super picky about the taste of coffee. I also got a croissant and it was stale and old. The second time, I opted for an iced vanilla latte, a different drink hoping that the mocha was a fluke. Once again, extremely burnt and nasty. The vanilla flavor did nothing to cover it. After what FernHaus did to Brew and its staff, I never wanted to give them a dime of my own money and now I certainly won’t. Outpost is a sign for companies like FernHaus: if you’re a design company with zero prior food experience, don’t buy a beloved coffeehouse. And to people looking for a coffee shop in TC, you’re better off literally anywhere else (but I’d personally recommend Hexenbelle and...
