The owner’s management style has created an unpleasant environment. Skilled, knowledgeable employees—people who genuinely care about art and customers— are abruptly dismissed with no notice or respect for their dedication. Meanwhile, less experienced staff are kept on, professedly because they’re cheaper to employ rather than because they contribute to the quality or culture of the space. It’s saddening to see such talent and passion treated as expendable. The atmosphere that was hoped to be one of inspiration does not have the spark.
