I've been coming to Caddys for 8 years. I have always received extraordinary service. I am a local and live here full time and Caddys is always my go to spot during the week, weekends, and when I have people in town I recommend Caddys.
But this past weekend was one of the worst services I received and the personnel made me feel like I was the problem when they were the ones that weren't providing proper service.
The menu clearly states Mahi Tacos come with Kettle Chips. When I placed the order I just told the bartender I wanted Mahi Tacos and Chicken Quesadillas.
I looked at the receipt and it said Mahi Tacos and a upcharged for 1.00 for fries. I asked the bartender why I got upcharged for fries. I didn't ask for fries and the menu says it comes with kettle chips. She said sorry sir I gave you fries. I said ok but I showed her on the menu that it says it comes with kettle chips and I did not ask for anything additional or different then Mahi Tacos the way they come on the menu with kettle chips. She went to the back and said she was going to fix it and tell the cooks to put kettle chips. The order came and still had fries. I asked the other bartender who gave me my food that the order is wrong. It has fries and not kettle chips per the menu.
They did not change it, they did not take the upcharge off my bill, they just stood there and kept serving other people and I felt so disappointed and confused. I just stood there and said ok this is how they are going to treat patrons especially a patron whose been coming for years!!! I could have patronized alot of business on the beach, but I chose Caddys. I may have to reevaluate that decision going forward. Maybe the service has gone down??? Who knows ....I hope not!!!!
I was highly disappointed and felt robbed of my time, money and quality of service.
Food sat at the bar for a while. I checked back periodically and wasn't until I went to bathroom and came back and saw my order just sitting out. I originally asked it to be put in containers from the beginning, but it was on plates and flies and cool air immediately took the temperature down making everything cold and unpleasant. Just all around unpleasant experience.
Those bartenders were highly unprofessional. I've had and seen better at Caddys. Maybe the pandemic is still affecting the hospitality industry and good help is still hard to find. Hopefully that's the reason.
The 2 bartenders they have need to be retrained in hospitality. Please learn how to smile and greet your patrons. They could pick any establishment to give their money too, but they chose your establishment. Act like it's the first time you opened for business and craved that first client walking through your door.
The bartenders didn't even try to make things right. They were so consumed with getting other people's drinks and food in they were not putting any efforts in correcting my order. How do you know I'm not an undercover boss, or secret shopper, or related to the owner. Treat everyone as if they are important. I understand some patrons can be rude, but don't let one patrons rudeness effect another patrons service experience because you're in a bad mood. Have a short term memory and smile and be your best for the next patron. I did nothing to them to be treated so poorly. If people are not your gig then get out of the hospitality business. This is a people business. You gotta love people!
Not how I expect things to be done. I am in the hospitality industry as well for 25 years. You make sure the customer leave with a great experience and if not you make it right or better. Neither was done. I get it maybe it was a super busy day, maybe the bartenders were overwhelmed, but they should know what's on the menu and if they assume I want fries when I didnt and I clearly show them on menu, and the receipt that it's not right they should stop and address the problem. Not dance around it and try to shew me away because they are busy.
I will be avoiding those bartenders going forward. Hopefully management finds some better...
Read moreGreat looking place right on the beach with a second level deck seating to overlook the beach and listen to live music in the evenings. We tried to come on our first day which was Saturday evening but couldn't win the parking lottery and eventually went to eat somewhere else. We came back Sunday evening and got lucky with a parking spot which was $4 per hour so not too bad. We found a table right away and waited a bit too have our order taken. Staff was friendly but not very attentive. I wouldn't recommend the Cucumber mojito. It literally tasted exactly like water with cucumber in it. I asked the server if they put alcohol and she said she actually put a little extra so it indeed had quite a lot and probably just the cucumber taste was the actual alcohol itself. I've had a lot of Mojitos in my life and this one was missing some of the key ingredients of a Mojito, it just tasted exactly like cucumber water. But the Corona I had next was ice cold and wonderful. I saw lots of other drinks that other people were having which looked pretty good. If I wasn't driving I would have certainly tried a few other ones.
Our food order took a really, really long time to arrive. About an hour I believe. And when it came it was stone cold like it had been sitting waiting for delivery for at least 20 minutes. The burger was actually very good but just completely cold. My girlfriend wasn't very hungry so she ordered two sides as her meal but they were much smaller than anticipated, really just like two bites each.
I would try coming here again because the atmosphere and the location and the view and the music are certainly worth it. And it's very possible that another experience would be a little better with our food and drinks. Everything seemed priced reasonable considering the location...
Read moreI have never left a review in my life, however I wanted to share my experience so others know what to expect. To start off with the positive, the restaurant has a beautiful location. That was about the only great thing about our experience. The service / people weren't remarkably great, but not horrible either. I understand the restaruant is busy and I appreciate service workers for working hard and doing their best! The restaurant overall was expensive, which was to be expected based off the area and location- so not complaining about that. However, the food that we recieved is what I am most disappointed with (and no where near worth the prices they charge). I had ordered a chicken tender basket that came with fries and a side of coleslaw. When my food came, I was very upset to see that I was given 4 small soggy chicken fingers (not tenders, big difference), that looked like they came from the grocery store and were popped in the microwave. The fries were great, however they gave me maybe 8 fries in total... Coleslaw was fine, but also was given about 1/4 cup (probably even less) of it. This meal would have been approprate for a child, but listed as an adult entree and cost $17. I am extremely dissapointed with how skimpy their servings are and how low quality the chicken tenders were. In addition, my mom had ordered a sunshine salad (full size) and it came with 3 slim slices of grilled chicken, 2 grape tomatoes, 2 cucumber slices, cheap shredded cheese, and maybe 1-2 mandrine orange slices. I would ONLY reccomend this restaurant for those who are just looking to order a few drinks (although those were extremely expensive too), but would NOT reccomend this restaurant...
