A Culinary Delight in Truckee, California: Village Pizza's Exquisite Cuisine and Stellar Service
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
Review: My recent dining experience at Village Pizza in Truckee, California was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The cozy ambiance and friendly atmosphere set the stage for what turned out to be a memorable culinary journey.
I started my meal with the unique and scrumptious “House Salad" topped with creamy pesto dressing. The combination of fresh ingredients and delightful flavors left me wanting more. It was a refreshing twist on a classic dish that truly delighted my taste buds.
As a pizza lover, I couldn't resist ordering their large pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni, and mushrooms, cooked to perfection and expertly prepared with an extra crispy crust. Each mouthful was a symphony of flavors, and I found myself savoring every bite.
However, the true standout of the evening was the impeccable service provided by Ashley. Her genuine warmth, courteous demeanor, and attentiveness made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Her recommendations were spot on, and she went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my visit was exceptional.
Village Pizza truly excels in delivering a world-class dining experience. The attention to detail in their dishes, combined with the friendly and professional service, sets this restaurant apart. Whether you're a local resident or passing through Truckee, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Village Pizza for a gastronomic adventure like no other.

Read moreWe had just finished a long day of rafting down Truckee river and were desperately seeking pizza. We ultimately ended up at Village Pizzeria after being seduced by the red "Pizzeria" sign beaming at us across the road. There wasn't room inside, and they wouldn't serve us outside, so we worked out a deal to get the pizza to go outside. They graciously gave us 10 waters to go as well. We were absolutely ravenous waiting outside and were fantasizing about different kinds of food..especially rotisserie chicken. Several members of the dinner party went to the Value Mart across the street to get snacks for later. Meanwhile, we asked the server who delivered us our to go waters if bread was available. She said yes, how many, and left with promises of carbs and butter dancing through our heads. She eventually came back with a menu of different breads and said when the server came we would be able to select which we wanted..very clever given we were not being served and would never see a server. We considered asking for bread to go as well but decided the petty ouroboros we were creating needed to end. Eventually our party members returned with a bag - filled with flaming hot cheetos, cheddar cheezits, oreos, and A ROTISSERIE CHICKEN. We proceeded to have a wonderful set of appetizer snacks while waiting for the pizzas. When the pizzas were finally delivered the waitresses eyes grew larger from what was either jealousy or recognition of how ridiculous it was. We're going with jealousy given the feast in front of us.
The BBQ chicken was great and sweet/BBQ. The pizza with the word "Mike" in it was the crowd favorite. Definitely recommend it, bridged the veggie and meat gap in the group. The pizza with the word "Pizzeria" in it was also tasty....
Read moreThe website is hard to read and does not display accurate prices. The pizza was good but I was told I was ordering two small pizzas for $10 each, like the website said, and an order of garlic chips for around $8 to $10 like the girl told me over the phone. I walk in and they don't even know who I am, where my ticket is, and they spoke in spanish the hole time. I had three girls ringing me up and then they walked away without giving me back my card. They charged me $60.30 for what o ordered and when I called back to ask them why I was charged so much the girl repeatedly said she wasn't sure and told me that the two small pizzas I ordered were $23 and $21 .....I told her it didn't say that anywhere on the website, which was very hard to read and the girl over the phone let me believe I was ordering two $10 pizzas and even told me the total came to $30 something. The food is great don't get me wrong but the staff do not know what they're doing and they need to better advertise their prices. I told them if I knew how much they were I would not have ordered anything because that's a bit pricey for two small to go pizzas. After all this she told me she didn't know if there was anything she could do for me and just apologized and repeatedly said she wasn't exactly sure how the numbers came out. So basically I paid $60.30 for two small pizzas, some cheese bread that I was told was only around $10 and they didn't know exactly why and couldn't do anything for me. I will definitely not be eating here again which is unfortunate because the food...
