Review Date: May 28th, 2023 5 second coffee stop. Once again, Doug and I were up early at our hotel and decided to get coffee while everyone slowly woke up from their drinking stupor. As we drove up the road to 5 Bean, we actually drove past it since we didn’t see it on the left side of the road. We then backtracked and missed it again as we didn’t see it. We decided to drive around to the back side of the building to see if GPS was being goofy and the only thing back there was… the back of the stores. As we were pulling up to the main road, we looked across the street and finally saw 5 Bean. Either GPS was way wrong or they moved locations recently and it wasn’t corrected yet. We rolled up and the second we stepped inside, Doug got a call for everyone’s drink order. I snagged myself my as-of-late usual Americano and Doug got himself a Frozen Hot Chocolate. Yep, you read that right. The baristas were friendly and fast. Despite it being the morning rush of people getting their bean juice, our 6 person drink order took no time at all. (We had 7 people in our group but one was dead to the world until 5pm that night.) Once the drinks were loaded up in a drink carrier, we dipped out. The place was nice, if not your typical coffeehouse. If our group would’ve showed up and decided to sit down, we would’ve taken up most of the seating area. So, keep that in mind if you and some peeps want to come for a relaxing time. As for my drink? It was good. Americanos are a very varied drink based on how they do their espresso. This one was a bit more on the bitter side, which didn’t pair well with my slight hangover but was good nonetheless. It was half gone before we got back to the hotel, if that tells you anything. Lastly, they had these nice little stickers for sale and I wanted all of them but feared losing or damaging them in transit back home. :/

This is one of two very solid local coffee shops I've discovered in Pickerington. Most of the drinks come hot, iced, or frozen, and they have all the essentials. The frozen mocha (with almond milk) was quite tasty, sweet, but not overwhelming -- it was like a well-reserved milkshake with a hint of coffee. A hot (oat milk) basic latte is a more typical order for me, and it was a good 7/10 -- quality was good, and I'd drink it again. They have a drive thru. It's not super spacious inside, but there's a few tables, Wi-Fi, and outlets if you want to get some work done. They also serve bagel sandwiches, muffins, and some other little snacks, but I've yet to try any food. Overall, there has always been great service, and I'm happy to keep coming back!

This coffee shop is absolutely amazing! The coffee is consistently delicious, with a great variety of flavors offered at no extra charge—including plenty of sugar-free options. Pumpkin spice lovers will be thrilled to know it’s available year-round! The staff is incredible, treating you like family from the moment you walk in. Lauren, in particular, goes above and beyond to make every visit special. The atmosphere and service are so exceptional that I happily drive 20 minutes, passing more than 10 other coffee shops, just to enjoy it. I’ve even recruited my colleagues to check it out, and they’re just as impressed as I am! If you’re looking for great coffee and a welcoming experience, give this place a try—you won’t regret it!

Been going to this shop for years, and not because I like their coffee. I would go there because I try to support local business. Waited patiently in line for 21 minutes for 7 cars ahead of me. Order 1 simple latte. Got up to the window and was COMPLETELY IGNORED by the girl at the window. Had to wait at least another minute while she took the order for the car behind me...still without acknowledgement from the attendant that she saw I was waiting. When I asked her why she made me wait she said, "Everyone had to wait for you.". Wow! Then she suggested I never come back! Wow! Of course, the owner believes her employees that claim I "screamed" at the girl. I had three children in my car. I was not about to scream and upset them. Apparently, raising your voice in irritation is screaming? I did go back to get a refund, and was told by the staff inside never to return as well! Long story short, after a return call from the owner, my suggestion for how to handle customers was responded with, "Am I back in school that you need to tell me how to handle my store?"!!! Well, she lost several long-year customers over this. All I asked for was an acknowledgement at the window and an apology for my wait time. These folks need to realize that some of their customers may have less patience that day because they just found out someone they love has cancer, or maybe they forgot to take their medication that morning, or maybe they just lost a loved one...any number of things. And all they wanted was one cup of coffee to face their day. Customer service is a dying art. Sad. And, as you can see by the owner's response, she has no concern for her customers. I was in no way asking her to change her procedure. I was only asking for an apology from her...which she NEVER gave. She only defended her staff. When I pulled up to the window, the girl at the window never acknowledged me, made me wait even longer in order to wait for the person behind me that was apparently ordering the store. I would have been perfectly fine, but NO acknowledgement from the girl at the window when I pulled up, NO APOLOGY from her, just AWFUL! Then the girl at the window told that if I wasn't happy just don't come back! So I said I wouldn't...except I DID go back to get my money back!!! How awful of me!! Wow. I went to Starbucks the other day. I waited for like two minutes in line for the car in front of me. The girl at the window apologized for my "wait". I told her NO PROBLEM!! THAT is how it works! You can understand now why 5 Bean employees have zero clue on how to handle a customer...their owner is...

I like their coffee but had a very bad experience today. I sent my husband who’s never been there to pick up three large 5 bean frozen mochas for me and my sisters. I texted it to him, and even heard him double check the order with the barista over the phone because he called to make sure that’s all I wanted… he came back with chocolate peanut butter frozen drinks …. I absolutely hate peanut butter and gave the drinks away . I called the coffee shop to make sure that the 5 bean coffee is what I thought it was which is white mocha with caramel? She said yes and I told her that my husband somehow came home with peanut butter flavored drinks… she remembered exactly who he was and said “oh i thought he said the buckeyes drinks” I told her that I was on the phone with him when he ordered and texted him 5 bean mocha. She quickly responded, didn’t have to over explain myself to her and said that she can credit me for the mistake and that I can get them remade when I come in…. Here’s where I’m actually upset.. I drove 20 mins back to get the right coffee because I was really craving it. I’m pregnant so it was a serious craving….The lady at the drive thru had the nerve to tell me that they usually don’t honor or credit THEIR mess ups because they basically don’t mess up and it was MY FAULT for not saying my order correctly because they repeated the order back…… my husband moved to Ohio after our marriage of 2 years and doesn’t even know what buckeye even is … 5 bean and buckeye are very different words..she basically assumed that I was scamming her for more coffee by saying what she said like she had to warn me before it became a regular crime of ordering the wrong drink?!? What was the purpose of saying that to someone whose drinks you messed up??!That was the rudest assumption I’ve ever encountered in customer service….. like we enjoyed making another 20 min drive for some frozen drinks…in my V8 SUV… gas ain’t cheap honey and neither is my time !!!! Cherry on top she asks me if I wanted a cup carrier for my drinks and didn’t give us a cup carrier…. Just pretended like she never even asked….Why’d you bother to ask if you didn’t wanna give one?!?? The most narcissistic customer service I’ve ever experienced….. .i felt like driving away without the drinks! But my husband was driving. You are not the only place that serves crimson cup coffee!!! I will gladly go somewhere else !!! This lady has long blonde hair she seemed like she could be a...
