Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Tucker

Store number 183 (Tucker, Ga) Lavista Road Jason's Deli is NOT where you want to eat! All we wanted to do was sit down and eat dinner! The place was dead so I figured this would be a good time to stop in. We decided to eat in. Very few tables were presentable and cleaned off enough for us to sit comfortably. Evidently the bus boy was gone for the day. I ordered the plain Jane potato which was cold when it arrived at our table. Bear in mind were seated inside the restaurant, whereas it should had been steaming hot when it reached my table. My daughter ordered the Rueben, but the waitress brought out a club sandwich that she breathed her asthma breath on while she talked to her girlfriend on her AirPods so her boss would not notice. Needless to say, we had to send it back. When my daughters correct sandwich arrived at our table, we asked "Airpods" if the salad bar comes with the meal. After she finished her sentence with her friend on the phone, she answered "yes", it comes with the meal. My daughter got up, went to the salad bar, and prepared a small salad. When my daughter arrived back at the table, the manager rushed over to say that the salad was not included therefore we now need to pay for a salad which was over $10.00 in addition to the $37.00 I had already spent. All because "airpods" said it came with the sandwich that she ordered. This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with any Jason's Deli. I was really embarrassed because "my kind" was running this funky establishment! I know that it is difficult to find people who want to work, but when you find those that are willing to work, make sure they are trained...

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Today 7/7/19 at the Lavista Rd Atlanta, Ga location was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at Jason's Deli. As my family and I entered the regular cashier desk, ungreeted and overlooked we waited patiently 3 to 5 minutes to order as the only cashier on duty was at the To Go Register she walked away to get food for the only customer at that counter. While fixing that order the cashier looked at us and stated that she's only taking orders at the To Go desk. By this time four or five more people had begun to form a line on the other side. Puzzled I asked the young lady if we had to get at the end of that new line even though we'd been there long before all of the people and she said yes that she doesn't know who was first with a bit of attitude. Frustrated my family and I left and probably won't ever return especially since as we were leaving they decided to finally block the area where we were ordering from. I went to my vehicle and contacted the store & as I spoke to Marie the manager on duty & explained my concerns to her she was inconsiderate & disrespectful in my opinion by the way she spoke and hung up the phone without trying to resolve the matter. So unfortunate that this happened because I really used to enjoy the Baked Potato & a few sandwiches here. I needed to place a last-minute group lunch order for an office meeting. A couple of the orders placed were somewhat complicated, and one of the items requested wasn't even on the menu. I called and spoke with Israel and he was extremely kind, patient and helpful. I noticed this because it was during the lunch rush, when busy employees tend to be dismissive or try to rush you off the phone. He helped me properly place the difficult order so there were no mistakes. When I picked up the order, everything was bagged up and ready to go! Each person had their own bag with their name written on it, which made my life SO MUCH EASIER!! Another kind employee at the register (I forgot to ask her name) suggested I pull my car up curbside so I wouldn't have to carry the 2 large bags myself. By the time I pulled the car around, Israel was already outside with the entire order, which was perfectly accurate and not missing a single item. The whole experience was wonderful. This isn't the first time I've received excellent service from Jason's Deli, and I know it won't be the last. I realize the details I've listed are typical for an employee who provides great customer service, but Israel and his team went above and beyond by anticipating my needs so that I could have a better experience, and doing so with a smile and a genuine concern for my satisfaction.
