Worst Management/People Ever. I got into a Car accident where I was thrown across an intersection. I was scheduled for 4pm, got into the accident at 3:21pm, got into the ambulance around 3:40pm. I had a severe concussion from my head hitting the wheel and the airbags not deploying, brushing on my ribs, a dislocated elbow. By 5pm not only were all my upcoming shifts given away, but I didn’t even get as much as a text to see if I was alright. I have always came in early for my shifts when I do work there (I work maybe one shift a week due to the passive aggressive nature of their General Manager and her lack of professionalism, and organization) and have had nothing but compliments from customers. I’ve never been written up, coached, or even talked to about a lack of job satisfaction. Due to being removed from the schedule I didn’t have another shift for almost 2 weeks. I was told if someone offers their shift you can go ahead and try to pick it up, but due to having 2 jobs I had already aligned my schedule to fit those shifts. Overall this made me miss out on even more money. Fast forward to my next shift. I wake up that day throwing up green and yellow liquid, had a fever of 102.7, and had to rushed to the hospital by ambulance. My first thought isn’t to contact KPot, it’s to be examined. I find out I’m pregnant and am already having complications. I came into the job sharing my experience about how I’d lost my twins, they even gave my off for the anniversary of the only live birth(one twin died before birth), that being said I disclosed that I was high risk and my previous issues with pregnancy(which isn’t required). I offered my shift and put a note that reads as such “pregnant and in the hospital” or something similar “pregnant and throwing up” either way I offered the 5pm shift at 10:30am when I should’ve been focused on caring for myself. I simply didn’t want what happened last time (me being removed from the schedule) to happen again. Jonette Jones the General Manager contacted me before I gave away my shift at about 8am to ask was I attending my shift which is weird because she has horrendous communication skills. The only reason I knew this is because at about 4pm my boyfriend sitting beside me in the hospital asked why my boss was sending me messages still. Her response was her answering her own message that she sent earlier that day. We then went back in forth about the situation which I will post the picture receipts to. Never once did she ask about how I was doing. I’ve never missed work like this, if I had, I would have understood the reactions. One time she answered a yes or no question with “I’m counting money right now,I can’t answer the question “instead of just saying yes or no( the question literally was could I speak with her at the end of the shift). Her passive aggressive nature, lack of communication, and non accountable personality is why for the past five months they have had the same hiring sign on the window that has not been taken down. The facility has been open two years and has not even 15% of its original staff except for the General Manager which speaks volumes. The staff in the kitchen don’t speak English, which makes communication from server to Kitchen almost impossible, nor do they use the proper cleaning protocols. The General Manager can’t even speak the different languages that her kitchen staff speak. I have left out many times and seeing food trash, just sitting in the kitchen on the floor, raw food, sitting out on the counter, uncovered, not dated, and people piling up into a white van at the end of the night to go home instead of finishing cleaning task. They literally Mop the floors before we sweep our sections. Jonette Jones asked me to provide my paperwork for my next shift and then removed me from the company app without even scheduling that SAME SHIFT. M ap wè w nan tribinal la. That’s it...
Read moreThis is the review I've been waiting to write. This restaurant is amazing. The decor, the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly the food touched our souls on a cool winter day. We happened upon it by accident looking for another restaurant, and boy let me tell you. We arrived promptly at noon on a Tuesday thinking it wouldn't be crowded. We were right initially, but an hour later it was looking like a Saturday night. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and includes an appetizer bar with various options including kimchee, eggrolls, sauces, fruits, vegetables, and desserts. It also has a full liquor bar with pop, r&b, and k-pop establishing a festive mood. The meal options are EITHER pho OR BBQ, meaning your partner or group must choose between the two. We chose the pho, but the smell coming from the bbq tables was tantalizing. Ordering is an experience as well. You get to choose from a variety of meats, including sliced pork belly, prime brisket, and lobster balls. If you prefer more exotic options, consider the cuttlefish or fish roe balls. Seafood options include squid, mussels, octopus, and shrimp. Tofu is also an option for vegans. Next are your vegetables, which include watercress, bok choy, seaweed knots, bamboo shoots, and several types of exotic mushrooms. Finally, the noodle selection includes udon, pho, and sweet potato (that's right). After ordering, the show really begins. The server turns on the warmers, brings out the broth, followed by your order. You and your guests are magically transformed into star chefs as you experiment with the fresh ingredients that you ordered. It is AYCE, and the lunch special is $19.99 per person. I can tell you for a fact that I ate at least three full bowls, and should have been rolled out of there in a wheelbarrow. Stephanie provided 5-star service to us, and explained all of the options and the ordering process to us thoroughly. This was a phenomenal culinary experience, and the cleanliness of the restaurant is unmatched. We will be returning many times in the future, and telling our friends and family about KPOT for...
Read moreThis was our second time visiting this location. The first time we went the service was good. This time, I had invited my friend and we were celebrating his birthday a bit late but still.
The waitress was either new or she just did not fell like being there, maybe a combination of both. I ordered oyster mushrooms that I never got. She kept on coming by to turn dow out bbq grill lower and lower so our steak is on the grill sitting there looking pale and not searing. When this was brought to her attention she said she did not like to turn the flame any higher because she did not like the smoke. I believe what she meant was she did not want to change it. Her presence was scares for the service but when it came to the check everything changed. Although, she had asked if the checks were split or if it was together and I answered together. She assumed ( per her own statement) and brings the check to my “male” guest. This thing where establishments feel like they can suggest a tip based on the bill amount leads servers to believe their service level is irrelevant to the amount of tip they will receive. She kept arguing with me, not realizing I was the one who was paying the bill not my friend to whom she kept directing all the questions. If we gave him priority it was because he was our guest not because he was paying. All three of us ordered steak she brought 1 steak all 3 of us ordered short ribs she brought 2. I will be driving to Volcano and checking out D92 after all they are not the only ones w no o provide this kind of experience.
My friend liked the taste of his soup choice but was also not impressed with the service. He never says much because he is a bit over diplomatic. They ask at the time of tipping and I did not say much because he was there but she was upset because of the tip amount since it did not equal their minimum 18%. She kept on bugging me for payment but was not as persistent with her service.
I am not visiting this place anytime soon! She gets one star for offering a to go cup at the end of the meal to...
