Baggin's Gourmet Sandwiches — Restaurant in Tucson

I have not tasted the food here, so this is only on my observation while trying to decide what to order. I entered by the back door and passed a tightly, colorfully dressed young woman by the soda machines biting on a straw. I stopped to see what brand of soda they had and then carried on to the menu to see what I wanted. There was a young man behind the counter chewing on a seal on a pink pill bottle, putting his fingers in his mouth and retrieving the foil that once covered the pill bottle (the bottle looked like a pepto bismo pill bottle). At this point I decided to watch him and see if he would use the sink behind him to wash the spit and such from his fingers. Instead he walked to the common door that lead to the dining area where he kissed the girl I previously mentioned and she whispered in his ear and a touch on the back and she headed out the restaurant. He returned into the kitchen area and I left. May be their business, but I don't want my mouth near anything those two had deposited...

Such mixed feelings about my first experience with this location! I ordered online and received two emails saying there was an issue and to call. I called for 15 minutes and got a busy tone each time. I called the corporate office and they were able to get a hold of them and get my order under way. Apparently, the phones and printer were down. I get it, things happen. I called the location again to make sure everything was good and was placed on hold for over five minutes. While on hold, I got a call from the same location! They apologized and said my order would be out the door in 5 minutes. I live less than 10 minutes away and my order didn't get delivered for another 20-25 minutes and the driver was zipping around the neighborhood like a bat out of hell. Upside, half my order got double at no extra charge and everything tasted good. Totally hit the spot. This won't stop me from ordering from this location again but next time I won't order when I'm on the verge of...

Update April 2024: changed rating from 5 to 2. Placed a $350+ order for 22 sandwiches 2 days in advance on the electronic ordering system for a lunch event to be picked up at 11am. I gave them 10 minutes leeway and arrived at 1110am. They hadn't even started most of the sandwiches. Didn't put extra staff on the order until 10 minutes later when I pushed. The place was empty btw. At 11:30 they take the sandwiches to the car. Never again will I come to this Baggins and frankly I question the chains ability to handle advance large orders. This is the 2nd Baggins store to bumble a large order and be half an hour late. This is inexcusable. And.the table was sticky where we waited near the cash register. A disappointing experience.
