Yesterday (Saturday, May 3rd) at around 6:54 PM, my husband and I stopped by this Black Rock Coffee location in Tucson just before they closed at 7 PM. We just wanted two small strawberry lemonades, and I planned to politely ask if they were still able to make themâtotally understanding if they couldnât since it was close to closing.
The building is see-through, so both baristas and customers can clearly see each other. As we pulled into the drive-thru, I noticed a female employee in a white hoodie with her hair in a ponytail. She was speaking to another girl before closingâIâm not sure if that other person was an employee or not.
The employee looked directly at our car, threw her head back, and then raised both middle fingers in the air, looking right at us. I donât know if she thought we couldnât see her, but we definitely could. Afterward, she walked over to her station and came to the speaker, saying, âHi, how may I help you?â in a completely fake cheerful tone. At that point, we were shocked and just drove off.
Weâve come to this location regularly and never had an issue until now. This was extremely disrespectful and uncalled for. Iâve also noticed how difficult it is to reach anyone from HR or corporate, which is frustrating. This doesnât feel like something that can be handled at the store levelâI believe itâs serious enough to warrant HR involvement.
I expect to be contacted directly. No customer should ever be...

The coffee was good but not great. It could be smoother, not sure if that was just how it was blended this time or if that is the way it always comes. I ordered a Blackout and I did not taste any of the hazelnut flavor that was supposed to be in the drink. It did taste like a chocolate covered espresso bean though, so if you like that, then it is good, but I really was hoping to taste...

Needless to say I was late to work because itâs absolutely ridiculous to waste 5 minutes per car at the window doing it this way. To add to that, you canât get out of the drive through line once youâre in it so I was stuck. Super poor business model. I wonât be returning unless I have half an hour to spare waiting in...
